  2. hm i'll gif the values that i can test cos some i dun haf test kits i'll skip nh3 and no2 since my lifestocks and corals r well so they're fine Ca 400ppm no3 20ppm kh 10 ph at a steady 8.2 Mg i got no test kit I2 also no test kit anything i amiss or anything i missed out?
  3. texture very similar to coralline algae except that its white that's y i and my friend initially mistook it as coralline turning white

  7. seriously, no pt taking a piture...it jus looks like teh rocks haf turned white seriously...u wun be able to tell anything from a photo unless i take a super close up shot but my digi cam is not capable of that
  8. hey with 200 u can get the BIGGEST macro skimmer needlewheel in the market but only at one place u can pm me if u wana noe where. the skimmer is rated for 1500L tank so its will surely clean yr tank until there's nothing lefT!
  9. hi guys my tank 2 mths old now got sth white growing on the life rocks from far it looks like sand particles if they r small and looks as if rocks turning white if big patches but upon closer inspection i saw that its actually sth growing anyone has any ideas what they are or what its caused by?

  11. eh kareen...who of us here can claim our water to be as gd as and as nutritious as sea water......if can then its not in our home...its in our dreamz
  12. nope they wun disturb the snails y would they?...they're not hermits... golden head goby is very peaceful...wouldn't fight with anything

  15. eh dispar...u're trying to psycho him into a hns or beckett ah?
  16. actually, what got my interested in this colour intensity issue is not jus the photo its also because since i bought it a mth ago, its colour has never been as intense as when it was at the shop so pls do not refer back to issues such as skills of photography or where the coral was harvested from because i'm comparing the same coral, a mth back and now there's an actual loss in intensity as observed by me
  17. wat he means is if they can survive under 150mh then they sure can survive under 2x250W so i shouldn't worry bout my lights
  18. PLS! dun use yr $10 skimmer animore! 200+ u can get a super big macro or weipro that is overkill for yr tank for yr tank 100 can get a gd enough macro or weipro (personally i'd take macro) as for hns and the likes of it, u need 800-1200 bucks so with 100....go for macro u wanna noe where to get u can pm me i'd be glad to help and i agree with roiden...the next upgrade u should be aiming for should be a 4 footer if u stay hdb flat...try not to go above this for weight concerns cheers!
  19. hey guys, take a look at the exceptionally gd colour of this 2 hammers http://www.sgreefclub.com/forum/index.php?...opic=26208&st=0 i'm sure many would have came across hammers or frogspawns with varying intensity of colours that is to say some reefers can maintain very gd colours while others can't and unfortunately, i belong to the 2nd class...my hammers and frogspawns although colour up nicely, are still not as nice as the ones in the picture or in some of the tanks of other reefers question is what affects the intensity of the colours of these corals? what would cause the colour to fade or brighten up? would it be lights? 2x250W should be enough? would it be the presense or absence of a crucial trace element/s that needs to be dosed or would it be feeding? hope to receive more from comments from all with relevant knowledge! thanks
