  3. hi deepblue after looking at pic for the longest time ever, i can only conclude that the one circled in red is the ric i think the purple thing below is epoxy because of its well moulded shape anyone who managed to figure the pic out care to confirm this?
  4. got budget constraint? if not i would suggest using 2 return pumps that add up to the total amt of return that you want i recommend 2x eheim 1260...total flow rate is higher than rio14hf and chances of both failing at the same time causing your system to crash is lower than just running one pump...but don't forget the higher elec bill la as for rio pumps...don't really know much about them but heard from some reefers here that its severely overrated hope i've been helpful

  6. hello hope this info helps u i used 120kg of grade 1 sand to achieve 9cm of sandbed as to return, i'm using 2x eheim 1262...good flow IMO from the way food circulates without resting on sandbed so sandbed remains clean...corals also get current everywhere (but this depends very much on your rockscape too so don't take my word for it blindly) hope its been helpful
