yeapz and after a while, when these people are quiet....they'll let singaporeans in like they do with the foreigners.... anyway, just a side off, i think life in singapore getting tougher china's economic booms, prices of things go up because china contributes to a demand which a supply cannot cope etc etc. things ex, oil price rise...people needa work harder to earn more to sustain...no place to unwind cos this island so damn small...now that got casino...govenment impose restrictions on locals...can't unwind any more than we did in the past... but these restrictions ought to be in place to counter social problems ok...i might be wrong about the next part since i'm not an economics student...but IMO: economic boost?...perhaps...but in the macro sense, not the micro economics of individuals because the money generated goes to government to spend on infrastructure...better hospitals and a nicer orchard road (fully air conditioned remember the last time they planned this one?), bigger and better schools (which then command higher sch fees), bigger and better airports, sea ports... yeah these are nice... but the income generated ends up with the government...not much ends up as cash for citizens.i think what most people need is more cash to spend...not bigger and better airports or airconditioned orchard PS: disclaimer is as my previous posts

hi guys. some were suprised about 2 casinos being opened actually, if one was carefully monitoring what was in papers and what government officials were saying, you could kinda guess 2 was coming upz anyway, IMO, creating more jobs is not much for singaporean but for foreign labour cause cheaper and i guess most could tell government already fixed on building casino. tell you guys what I THINK will happen: now government put entrance fee and impose max expenditure of individual...eventually, they will relax on this...then no more entrance fee...then no max amt a person can spend will go up up up...then eventually, no more such rules like bro Xperiment 626 mentioned...why?...cos i think more money government won't hiam ma... anyway, elections coming right?...if majority of locals not happy then PAP siao liao... wow...so many bad reviews? hey vinceire, i noticed the same thing as you in that when i switched them from 250W mh to lower powered devices( <100W), they work fine, and when i swtiched them back, kapoof, same problem currently switched to older german one in store room which i used fine with the mh lamps before switching the ben thinking it was better...oh well. hey vinceire and ervine, where can i find digital timers?

recently i bought 2 new ben timers for my mh lights its programmed to turn off at 2230...but for some reason, after 2230, although the timer has already turned into the off position, the lights are still on i faced this problem with both timers although both are plugged into seperate sockets i tried testing the timers on other electrical appliances in my house and found that they weren't faulty....but when i try it back at the lights, the same problem comes back. i believe someone did mention facing a problem like this before but i can't find the thread can anyone help?
