gapping does not neccessarily means gonna die. but its not as good as if the hole is closed. of course it is possible it will survive but if it really is good, the gap will be closed

not true at all if there is bacteria living on the chemipure, it would be neglible compared to the amt on his liverocks and sand i suggest u take out your carbon since its the only thing u changed and things started going wrong?...use rowa carbon la, confirm good no prob one its definitely not your no3, 40 is not enough to kill under this kind of circumstances, desperate times calls for desperate measures. just change water.

hahaha frankly i think many people come into the nemo craze with the "freshwater mentality" put tap water, put salt, put fish in the end u all know la, fish will die. disney should come up with a show "Keeping nemo" with all the proper cycling techniques etc....ah then got craze better. if not alot of innocent fishes are just gonna die for nothing

u can flood your tank with cyclopeeze to feed your fish if your sun coral is trained it will smell the cyclopeeze and open very fast

ya man, tok about price, elec bill go up, water bill go up, fuel price go up (which means less cheonging). i think many gave up cos of these factors

IMO i think its less ppl cos somehow i feel the shipments coming in are getting lesser perhaps due to lesser demand. and also keep seeing people giving up some of whom quite lao jiao. perhaps i am wrong la but this is my general feeling

hi bro. thanks for the input. so srry to hear all of them died. dun mind tell me which shop u got them from? ya they are very very eager to eat but very skinny. at the shop the lighting wasn't good so couldn't see how skinny they were until i got home and put them in my tank. in fact at the shop i tot they were quite healthily fat...eye paste stamp now trying to feed to get them to become fat fat. hopefully they dun die. so far 3days still ok. *cross fingers*

eh bro, for the hoses, are u using 3mm or 5mm hoses? the fitting is supposed to be 5mm la but at home i have those 3mm spare ones used for fresh water air pumps so i used the 3mm ones. not sure if this has any effect. yo bro barnacle, long time no see online~! ok point noted, later i go see if i can rewire the hoses to T from chiller!

ya bro i am using T off with a valve from the FR pump. its sth like the pump is more powerful than wat the FR needs, so i install a valve. then the T off is BEFORE the valve, so whatever is left unused by the FR will be forced through the FR i met a fellow reefer using another CR. he was using SP3000 dosing pump but he said frankly its unnecessary. T off better. what about you bro? how u feed?

here's an update after pm-ing houndster (thanks bro) i finally got the tuning right. here were my previous trials (all ph measurements were made with the weipro ph controller) BUBBLE: 16/min DRIP:32/min ph:6.67 CR runs cloudy, choke ah... then the same thing happened with bubble count of 10/min and driprate of 32/min, ph:7.16 the media was burning in the CR but inadequate flow was supplied causing saturation and there was alot of rowa dust. and that caused a choke at the needlewheel exit valve. so then i spoke with a few rowalith users and pm-ed houndster for advice. so turns out my drip rate was too slow, the media was burning but the flow through the CR was inadequate. so this time i tried DRIP:240/min, BUBBLE: 14/min the ph registered was 6.67 kh: 16 Ca:410 bubble counts and drip rate were steady throught the night and day, CR no longer runs cloudy and no more chokes i will go increase the bubble to drop the ph and measure the effluent output again. stay tuned!

walamak DAMN sway. unit 2 the shaft broken in 3 peices !@$$%^#$^#$^@#%@ so left only 1 unit for sale. $20/-. cannot cheaper leaw, the impellor and shaft brand new already cost me $18/-. means u paying only 2 bucks for the casing etc. the spoilt one if u wan can just take la. i also got 1 extra impellor all FOC.
