  1. heh....thanks people....the fishes seem to LOVE tubifex....heart ache to stop feeding them good food
  2. nope copepods don't need lightings...they're not plants...hehe...they eat phytoplankton so u can go get those kind of food to add into your tanks. for my mandarin i get the copepods to survive by feeding aquapharm 5 in 1 coral food which is essentially phytoplankton. feeds both corals and copepods. try it!
  3. regardign the cobweb stuff...its probably just sponge...it'll die off how long is your tank by the way naganoth?
  4. sure people clean live rocks. i'm quite certain many do. but the way to clean it is really contraversial. personally, i jet the live rocks with tap water to get rid of the surface dirt. then i immerse the rocks into a pail of tap water for 5 mins to get all the stupid bristle worms out. then i put the rocks in. this method kills almost all the bad stuff but the good stuff too. but don't worry cause usally the good stuff grows back...infact, i've used this method all i still get lots of cute tubeworms and star fishes attched on the rock into my tank. the other method is to brush the rocks while they are immerse in a pail of salt water similar to that of your tank. success of this i wouldn't know. hope this can help!
  5. the website for the copepods is http://bioweb.uwlax.edu/zoolab/Table_of_Co...od-copepods.htm
  6. this fish actually thrives on brine shrimp when it is desperate. i read on the internet that copepods feed on phytoplankton so i try to help the goby by feeding the copepods to get them to multiply. i feed the copepods aquapharm coral food which has a lot phytoplankton that copepods feed on. the food is also good for corals as well as my tubeworms.
  7. hur hur...its only a few days so i'm not sure if my method works well. but i juggle between brine shrimp and tubifex. but it usually spends its time pecking live rocks. i've seen it!....real cool....it eats copepods and small shrimps on the rock. only eats tubi and brine when it desperate or stumble across accidentally
