no
the shrinking is not reltated to lightings...although they do shrink alitle when lights are off but the shriking i'm talking about is something like an anemone dried up
then they bloat up again...but its so frequent...probably twice a day perhaps more because i don't sit and watch them the whole dae
temperature is 26 and S.G is normal green band
hi guys, just an update, i adjusted the flow to about 800-900L/hr and the temperature set to 25 degrees and the chiller appears to work fine...its own themostat reads a stable temperature of 26 for at least an hour before hitting 27 and turning on again
ok....for both cleaners...after a while of feeding by u...they stop eating parasites because they're alwaes well fed and never hungry.
regarding cleaner wrasse....only a few ever do well in captivity cause many don't accept substitute foods....and besides....naturally, cleaners haf short life spans but they make up for it through quick and massive reproduction.
IMO, don't keep a cleaner wrasse
as the title says, what can be wrong?....my purple tip and lime BTA both shrink quite frequently.
i know shrinking is ok but its happening too often...wat's wrong?
hey
press the set button for 10sec and set CA to -1.
it'll solve the problem of different readings.
aniwae...1 degrees difference in instrum, ents is actually very very acceptabl;e
2x cooler is safer in a way incase one fails, the other one still can struggle to cool the tank.
and, like u said....if both cool faster, it does save elec but 2 coolers means larger resistance for your pump to overcome in terms of circulation
the recommended flow rate is inclusive or exclusive of the amt of water in the sump?
and also, hm...i heard there's alot of trouble with trusting the flowrate as indicated on the box.
people alwaes suspect the flowrate is in fact lower than that quoted on the box...how do i handle this?
hey!
tell me this....do u haf another thermometer?....if so use it to measure the temperature and compare it to the temperature displayed on the chiller
do inform me of your result
hi guys, i'm thinking of geting a sump tank but i don't know what powerhead to use to pump the water back.
i'm afriad the pump is either too powerful or too weak.
how can i know i use the right one?
hey
my cl650 also has the same problem
ons and cuts very frequently
but i reckon its my flow rate that is the problem because the instructions says best to use a flowrate of 900-2400L/hr.
i pump the water using my eheim canister filter rated at 950L/hour but with algal growth in the tubes and substrate in the filter...i think the flowrate is real low and i think that's y the chiller acts that way.
