Hi guys, I want to try dosing some vibrant and going for a blackout for 3 days to help with the diatoms/dino issues I have at the moment. Have been patient with this for 2months now and the algae issue is still persistent eventhough I do more water changes, dose vibrant. I need some advice on what would be a good 'cover' I could use for my 4x2x2 tank and where to get them? Also during blackout period do I have to feed my fishes? Or I could just leave the corals and fishes unfed? Thanks

Hi guys, So recently I purchased a bottle of Fauna Marin Min S and Coral Sprint to test out because I heard so much about it and decided to give it a try. I'm running a 4ft mixed reef, total system volume around 150G. I tried googling but most of them are in German and I don't understand haha. If you guys could spare me some of your time, I have a couple of questions for those who use similar products: 1. Do I have to turn off the skimmer and wavemaker when I dose them? 2. Should I mixed them together for better results? 3. The dosing spoon for Coral Sprint seems quite big, if I follow the instructions (1 dosing spoon) I think its kinda overkill (?) should I do 1ml (1g) instead? 4. Will there be nitrate/phosphate spikes? 5. Any other products to recommend in combination? If it works well, I might want to amplify the results. Thanks!

Hi guys, I'm looking for possible angelfish to place in my 150g mixed reef tank. I did some research and it seems to me that the pygmy series of angelfish are the ones less likely to pick at LPS and other corals. I'm looking at getting a flame angelfish or potter's angelfish, if it seems good. Do any of you have had success with such angelfish?

Ah okay thanks for the info bro. I guess might go with the safer route with the Xanthichthys lineup of course with much caution, hopefully all goes well

Hi guys, is there any triggerfish that are considered reef safe? I am running a mixed reef 150g tank. My tank currently isn't fully stocked due to covid, its about 4 months old or so. Current tankmates include 2x anthias, 2x clownfish, 1x blue tang, 1x bicolor blenny, 1x longnose hawkfish. They are all around M sized. Corals, sadly aren't that many at the moment (not even 20% stocked) I did some research and it seems like the bluethroat trigger is good to go? Any thoughts or other suggestions?

Oh thanks man appreciate your advice. Probably will grab the more kiasi variety haha I probably have a 4 hour gap before filling it with water I guess. Just getting all the planning done first.

Hi Guys, I got a question, what brand of adhesive/glue do you guys recommend for PVC pipings? Also how long to wait before adding saltwater? Apparently when I set up my tank 4 months ago, all I did was fixing the pipes together, I am a total novice at plumbing so I didn't know I needed to glue them together! They fit well so I was fortunate enough to have it leaking at a really slow rate but it drips into my sump tank so its fine for now. But me being paranoid, having it burst one day is always in the corner of my mind. Since I will be moving house soon, I will be disassembling it so I want to get it properly done. Thanks!

Hi, I need some help, ever since a water change 3 weeks back, I have these white specks of dust (?) in my tank. It doesn't seem to disturb my livestock but it just annoys the hell out of me because it gives me this thought of it being 'dirty'. This has never happened to me before so I'm not too sure what's going on. Tank: 4 months old, 4ft DT with 3ft Sump, total volume 140G. Parameters: Quite stable, 0 NO3 and 0.5 PO4 (slight elevation since 2 months back will get this sorted soon) Fish: 2 Anthias, 2 Snowflake Clownfish, 1 Blue Hippo Tang, 1 Copperband Butterfly, 1 Long-Nose Hawkfish, 1 BiColour Blenny, 1 Dr Shrimp. Corals: 1 S-size Hammerhead, 1 M-size Torch, 1 L-size Anemone, 1 S-size purple seafan, 1 M-size rainbow chalice, 1 S-size Scoly, 1 Demon Whip frag. Sump: Refugium with chaeto, lights and bacteria houses. Bubble Magus Curve A8 skimmer. Bag of Redsea Carbon in 200micron Filter Sock. Reusing a 5watt UV filter. Light: 2 IntLED R60
