  1. u mean engage external service to help u do fragging for overgrown corals? Think most reefers DIY. if engage LFS or another person to do the fragging will make ur cost very high unless its friendship price. you can go youtube to learn how to frag, its not rocket science can DIY one [emoji23]. if you worry palytoxin all these, wear safety glass and gloves and most importantly wash hands after u done! hope it helps. 2. Actually most reefers including me, want to save money in the beginning by buying inferior stuff, in the end upgrade waste more money. This hobby is better to plan ahead on in terms of livestock and equipment, know ur budget and know what you want, the only way is to be more patient and not rush into buying something, do more research. I would say this hobby is generally expensive, the equipment that makes life easier for u is not cheap. just take chiller for example, u wan save money for chiller, go buy fan, u initially tink u definitely can do the manual topup cos fan the evaporation can be crazy. But end of day with work and family commitment is not sustainable. Not expert here, just sharing my 2 cents, hope it helps. happy reefing! Sent from Singapore Reef Club mobile app

  22. i believe its kinda hard to answer this qn, as all tanks are different with respect to bioload and nutrient export. u will always see different opinions as reefers with very low bioload can see effects while those existing with high bioload probably dont see any. For me, i tried a few, red sea reef energy A and B, the old version, Acropower, seachem reef plus. I would say only acropower has an effect on acros. Cos i did mini expt, so i stop dosing for a while, my SSC become washed out color, the moment i restart i see colors coming back. for red sea reef A plus B, i tried didnt see any effect, but i bought the new version will give it a try sometime soon. you can also consider brightwell coral amino, BRS say its good so maybe can try! 24. Nice setup! not 100% sure that the rock crab is reef safe. Probably when small is reef safe, once larger can pose a danger? better stick to tried and tested hermit crabs lol. u got add any biomedia? probably a good idea to add some bio media like bio balls or cubes in the ios compartments. but do remember to put in nettings or media basket for easy removal for maintenance next time.
