  9. just sharing, i would catch and treat in quarantine tank, i personally never tried in my reef tank so cant comment whether reef safe or not but i tink it can kill feathers dusters and other benefical worms. once quarantine, dose according to instructions and remember switch off skimmer, the prazigold instructions seems vague, i only follow its dosage instructions, for rest go to hikari prazipro website and see. my YT stringy poop was cured after 1 week treatment in prazi. i dose direct into tank water. 13. totally agree with bro indeco, velvet wipe my tank b4, best is to nuke the rocks, chance of “beneficial hitchhikers” is low, mostly is all bad hitchhikers lol Sent from Singapore Reef Club mobile app
  14. yes bro, my thinking same as u initially, but i will keep worry constantly considering the recent e-scooter fire so many case, i know not direct related but will worry lol....plus my taobao ATS the algae grow no good, cannot get the thick lush green growth shown by the you tubers. Sent from Singapore Reef Club mobile app
  15. if i got budget i will buy lol, i will worry Taobao ATS over long term use with salt water. i personally got 1 taobao ATS, finishing is not good. Even the silicon anyhow do. electricity and salt water is always not a good combo. Santa one is UL certified i tink. Sent from Singapore Reef Club mobile app
  16. Thanks for advise, my crocea ( Sent from Singapore Reef Club mobile app
  17. Been there done that lol, word of advise is if u really passion about reefing just whack big quality tank. For nano tank what they say about swings is all real, my tank crash b4 becos of noob-ness, even if u pro and manage to keep all tings alive in nano, one day u realized not enough space for corals and fish,u wan more. Now reflecting back, i rather got the big tank in the first place and would have save more money by doing things right the first time lol. Finally for big tanks u need to plan around it, like are u moving hs soon, regular travel cos of work or baby commitments. Really need to think things thru as reef tank really need to put effort to look nice no joke, if u slack on maintenance u will get a shitty tank and waste ur own time & money only...just sharing my 2 cents Sent from Singapore Reef Club mobile app
  18. i bought whole set nano tank 12 gallon 2 yrs ago, cade tank (maybe fake lol) but quality and finishing seems ok, includes red star fish skimmer quite a good skimmer, and cade lights but no cabinet. total about 240sgd exclude gst and ship. for nano tank maybe doable, the larger tanks is more risky, for total cost u need to factor in shipping GST and constant worry about tank broken during ship lol. For me the most cost effective stuff to buy from taobao is hailea chiller, LFS sell quite ex. End of day, buy from taobao is cheap but u run risk of no warranty even can return also very troublesome. For big tanks, i bite the bullet and got red sea tank, quality tank and slick look. just sharing. Sent from Singapore Reef Club mobile app
  19. Sorry for ur loss bro, things just die sometimes without any explanation, we can only follow the best practice and hope for the best. Sent from Singapore Reef Club mobile app
  20. sorry didnt read carefully, it seems unlikely velvet will show up only after 3 weeks, did u add new fish to quarantine? Sent from Singapore Reef Club mobile app
  21. swimming against flow? u mean against power head? likely velvet, my clown got it b4 and died that time also swimming against power head and i didnt know the reason tat time, now i know is for oxygenation since the gills are overwhelm, at least for mine it shows the powdery symptom. Just sharing Sent from Singapore Reef Club mobile app
  22. currently i use apitasia-X, its better use chemical control, livestock control is hit and miss, read b4 peppermint alot species not all eat apitsia, and its looks very similar to camel shrimp which is not reef safe at all, (it feasted on my brain coral b4) Need to observe tank more dun let population OOC and kill the apitasia once you see it or during ur weekly water change maintenance. Just sharing. Sent from Singapore Reef Club mobile app
  23. nice tank bro, able to share some specs? Sent from Singapore Reef Club mobile app
  24. just to clarify, dont go and use”superglue” use coral glue lol Sent from Singapore Reef Club mobile app
  25. if population out of control will be harmful, the white foam can cover the coral and is unsightly, i use superglue the tube hole to kill it lol, but dont do it all at once cos scared ammonia spike. my 2 cents Sent from Singapore Reef Club mobile app
