Hi bro thanks for ur reply.i used ro/di water i bought from irwana.The thing is ammonia should have appeared before nitrite.Yesterday's test readings was 0 ammonia n 0 nitrite. Hi guys,need ur advice.I have started a 90 litre nano tank with some live rock,live sand and some artificial rock.Im doing a fishless cycle n threw in a piece of raw market shrimp. The tank has been cycling for 3 weeks now.i have not run the skimmer n chiller.I have been testing for ammonia and nitrites almost daily.Have been using salifert test kits and no ammonia or nitrites have been detected for the past 3 weeks.Today,i did the test again n out of sudden nitrites was picked up at 1ppm n ammonia 0. 1)Is it possible that i missed out the ammonia spike phase? 2)Theres a tiny bit of die offs on the live rocks n diatoms are starting to show up.is the cycle almost gonna complete?
