I have flame and lemonpeel angel. The flame is very gd never nip at any softies and LPS except xenia, finish it within 1 day. Recently added a lemonpeel, saw him nipping at one of the zoas but leave the rest untouched. I guess is all about luck. The only thing I do is feed them very well to reduce their eating habits. I saw a few very nice regal but don't dare to buy scare no luck. If got chance I'm thinking of getting juvenile and try to train.

10 to 15 drops is not to increase the ammonia in the tank but to feed the bacteria to contiune the cycle. If ur tank is already cloudy then don't dose Bio s and wait a while. Don't worry about ammonia or nitrite, look at NO3. Just remember after cycle start adding live stock slowly and avoid adding big fish else u will have mini cycle. For ammonia reading, normally I will buy the seachem ammonia badge to ensure no NH3 is in the tank. NH4 is not harmful to fish. Relax and stay cool, after this CB period ur tank will be cycled for live stock.

Stop dosing ammonia for now and don't have to test for ammonia. Just dose AF bio S for a week and stop then check for NO3. Once u detected NO3, then dose 10 to 15 drops of ammonia only every 2 days for another week. If u get about 5ppm to 10ppm of NO3, your cycle is consider completed. Dosing too much of Bio s or ammonia will cause u bacteria bloom later.

I guess alot of reefer give up on quarantine half way as they realised that they killed more fish compare to directly put into the main tank. I started quarantine from Day 1 and 3 mths passed not even a single fish survived. Hence, I gave up and start putting fish (those with thick mucus) in my display directly. After doing this I got 0 casualties but I do understand that marine dieases are not something u can just ignore so I started back QT tank when I start to stock up Tangs. At that point of time, I knew that I have to deal with Ich for a long time until I decom my tank. So my QT approach now is to make sure I don't introduce fish with Velvet, Fluke and Brooklynella. Ich and other less deadly diseases can be management in display. As long u got the medication ready.

oh ok, I thought the timing is important for dosing. The problem with copper is that u can't ram to the theraptic level immediately so I'm hoping got other method that can replace copper to treat velvet. I tried to source for CP in SG but none got sell. Now I'm looking at chelated copper as it more mild compare to copper but yet to try.

oh ok, so u dose it at 10am and 10pm? I'm wonder dosing peroxide directly can get the same result or not. hahaha. I know peroxide is proven to be able to kill velvet but whether can completely eradicate it still need further prove.

yap I tried to avoid sea cucumbers and sea hare. Got a reefer share with me how his tank crushed when the cucumber went into the wave maker. Got think of abalone but don't know effective or not.

Bro where to get conch snail? never see before in LFS. I brought nassarius snails but not much help and die pretty fast.
