I just brought a pair of true percula from LFS ytd night and this morning I saw the bigger size one start nipping the smaller size. The funny part is, they still swim together despite the fighting. Is this common for a pair as part of the submissive behavior?

Yap, I use NTUC pure distilled water for WC and daily top up before I get the 4 stages DI filter. Quite costly I cannot sustain for long. Haha... With the filters then I use tap water as the source.

Not sure what kind of ATO u using. If your is got pump then any container should be fine but if not then u can check the below.

Tap water TDS = 110 to 120 Nitrite = 0.5 to 1ppm 4 stages filtered DI water TDS = 10+ Nitrite = 0.1ppm Boiled water TDS = 100+ Nitrite = 0.1ppm NTUC pure drinking water TDS = 4 Nitrite = 0ppm Based on the above result, I reckon to get 0ppm Nitrite in water is either I need to add 1 more carbon filter or to get TDS 0.

Tonight I will do the below test using the Salifert test kit. Test tap water Test treated water Test treated water + salt
