the Eheim 1000 is definitely a much better water pump than the stock pump. even with the water traveling from return to chiller to display, the pump is only turned on to about 30-40%. one thing to note is that it'll heat up the water, so really no choice but to get a chiller.

updates!! I bought a Chill Solutions chiller, very compact and sits next to my tank. Water doesn't evaporate much now. currently i have zoas, acan, shrooms, yuma, scoly, bta and torch. used to have a hammer but I think I placed it too high up the rock, got burnt... everything else still looks OK.
