I will try to calibrate again. Compared to my PH pen and normal thermometer, the readings are off by 1-2 for PH and 0.5 for temp. A check with fellow caper plus users and they have same feedback. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Thanks bro. Going to find a reasonably priced used Hanna tester for phosphate. The rest of my test kits are all salifert. Ammonia, nitrate, dKH, magnesium, calcium, phosphate Btw, I realized my caper plus can be quite off for both temperature and PH. A check with some bros. They feedback the Same thing. FTS after after 2 weeks plus..... many hiccups along the way. Super steep learning curve. But it’s fun, enjoying the journey and learning from mistakes.

Just an update. After battling the algae for more than 2 weeks, I think (fingers crossed) there’s a big improvement. It has been a very tiring 2 weeks plus though. As I stock too fast for a new tank, have to put in many times the effort.....big mistake.... These are the things I have done/doing on a daily basis. 1. Change the wool, wash the skimmer, clean the glass daily 2. More WC frequency, every 5 days about 10-15% 3. Shifted the rocks and removed a few to have better flow, added one more wave maker. Yes, I’m using 2 XF-230 for a 3 feet tank lol 4. Dose Bacter 7 religiously according to instructions 5. Lower dosage of the supplements 6. Added sand shifting goby, cleaner shrimp, 5 snails 7. Chaeto in refugium for longer hours 8. Changed to RO/DI water 9. More frequent but smaller feedings Now im getting nitrates 5. Compared to 10 previously.

Salifert. Feedback from some bros here salifert not accurate. I turned off light for a day and seems a bit better. Have to clear the wool and clean skimmer daily. Very smelly sludge thingy. I think should be having a diatoms outbreak. Going to do a WC tom. Getting a RO/DI unit tomorrow. Currently using faucet filter. Could be one of the reasons I’m getting Diatoms

Sorry. Don’t quite understand regarding the proportion of blues vs white. Does white includes UV? What’s the proportion like. More blues or more whites. Don’t think the cloud issue can be resolved. I was feeding 2X a day last week. Cos my clown eating all the food. After the diatoms exploded. Reduced to once a day. Realized there are quite a few dead spots for water flow. Shifted the rocks and wave maker. Ordered another one too. My light settings are pretty low compared to most. Lol I’m using AI Hydra HD 26 X 2. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Very nice! I kinda love and hate my sleeper gold head goby. He does a good job shifting the Sand, but makes a mess. My scoly will be covered with sand. In the end, shifted them on the rocks.....faint.

Currently I have a yellow tang and coral beauty that nips the rocks. Cleaner shrimp and one goby that goes around disturbing the sand. Bought 3 turbos for algae and 2 for sand bed. Btw thanks for the reminder after changing tank, completely forgot about the clean up crew. If it’s not enough will get some more on Saturday. Don’t dare to bring such a big bag back to office lol

Updates went to ah Beng to buy some snails. Let see if it will help a bit. Off the light for today.
