  1. Hi bro, i have been reading about ICK vs velvet, cant really tell the difference from some bad pics. It also seems like the number 1 candidate for ICK is blue hippo tang. Basically the entire tang family? Camping here to learn!
  2. Really nice rock set-up. Maybe add some colorful corals? Seems like a bit crowded though. LOL
  3. Good info bro. Very informative. Seems like "almost" everyone in this hobby will strike "ICK" at least once in their reefing career......
  4. Quick. Someone posted a good chiller. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  5. Actually U need the chiller more during the day. Lol. Do shop around for used chillers. Can be had for around $200 or lesser depending on condition. Cos a new hailea cost $3xx for ur tank size. It can be a bit noisy though. Knowing that the tank is in ur room. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  6. War paint reserved. Pending collection. Thanks
  7. Duplicate. Please delete thread. Thanks.
  8. Orange B grade $100 (about 5cm) War paint $130 (about 4-5cm)
  9. I was in the same dilemma as u. Didn’t want the hassle of a chiller. I’m the end I succumbed. Lol. Without a chiller, the type of corals u can keep may be limited. Depending on ur tank placement. Ambient temperature can hit as high as 30 degrees indoors. My place has evening sun and it makes it worse Another alternative is cooling fan, but the evaporation will be worse.
  10. About 6cm. Feeding on mysis. B-grade orange $100.
  11. If you dont mind the mess the sand shifting goby creates. They look pretty and very hardworking. My yellow sleeper goby is driving me crazy but does a good job cleaning the sandbed daily....
  12. Agree on the ATO, pretty critical, given the high temp in SG. Salinity swings can get pretty high for 10G. Alternatively, you can consider the Tunze 3152. Buy a jerry can to store water and just top up from there. Depending on the size of your jerry can, should last a few days.
  13. Just to chip in, I started with a 2 feet and I felt it’s pretty hard to maintain water parameters. Changed to 3 feet only after 2 weeks....lol. I think for nano, have to really go slow. (Actually for marine tanks. Lol). My 2 cents.
  14. Generally, I think they test after WC and replenish to the parameters they prefer. As my tank is new, I do it twice. Before and after. To have a general feel of the consumption rate and know how much to supplement. Hope it helps.
  15. Hi bro, just came across this thread. I’m having issues with my ATO. I’m using Red Sea reefer 250 too. Do you tighten the white screw cap for the ATO? I tried pushing th pump donw but water doesn’t seem to drip. Thanks.
  16. Thanks bro. Narrowed down to Deltec and Tunze, but will go take a look too.
  17. If I remember correctly, you have a PH buffer as part of the package you bought. If you think its too low, you may want to try that. PH fluctuations throughout the day is normal. As long as it doesn't fall below a certain level. Do bear in mind that you tank volume is about 100L. Any change can be pretty drastic, sometimes doing do much may do more harm. My 2 cents bro.
  18. Hi bro, what’s ur salinity. If it’s already at 1.024-.1026 range I think it’s ok. 8 scoops of salt at one go can be too much. As mentioned by bro soggycookies. Ur PH is fine. Any change you want to make must be small and not drastic change. Btw, what test kits are u using. I will encourage you use Red Sea, NYOS or salifert. Of course if Budget is not an issue, Hanna will be best lol
  19. Thanks. It’s very nice. Let me know if your are fragging some for sale!
  20. Wow. Very nice! May I know what’s the first sps?
  21. Agree bro. Not a very technical person. I had to tinker my skimmer daily for a while. It’s basically on dry skim now. Easily overflow or not enough air. Driving me crazy trying To fine tune daily after work.
  22. Sold to a nice bro. Thanks sgreefclub!
  23. Thanks bro. Have been reading and there’s no outright winner. Not helping that the brands I’m looking at all priced about the same. Faint. Looking at the eshopps skimmers too. Seems like value for $. Don’t know if any bro here used before.
  24. NYOS, Deltec, TunZe 9410 for about 55galons. Preferably Less than one year old. Kindly pm me. Thanks
