I bought used too. Initially having a hard time trying to setup my iCloud account. Drove me nuts. One nice bro here told me to email them for help to reset my ID. Which they did even when I didn’t buy from them and they were used units. For servicing, I’m not so sure. Maybe you can check with other bros who have sent for servicing. They HDs are not that old. Maybe that’s why lol

New Toy. Trying to adjust to the correct water level. Looked at so many models but in the end settled for this. Mainly due to many good reviews and footprint. New Red Sea sumps are designed smaller with refugium in mind. For fellow reefers getting Red Sea tanks please double/triple confirm based on new sump dimensions. LOL

So far Reef Depot service very good. I think shouldn’t have any issues. I’m a newbie bro. For high end sps have to ask the shifus here. Can’t really advise cos don’t know ur tank height. If it’s shallow sure no issue. It also boils down to what type of corals ur going to keep. Maybe can get 3 first, can always add another later. If ur getting more units, may be nicer to use the hanging kit or rail. Can consider radions if Budget permits. U can add diffusers for radions, though the light may be diffused, u will have less shadows.

A bit confused. Are u asking about AI 26 HD or 52 HD? If it’s 52 HD X 3. Yes I think it should be ok. Of course it will depend on what corals ur keeping. If its 3 X 26. I think 4 will be better.

Tank Maker and equipments

IMHO, the sump and piping doesn't cost that much vs the tank. I may change to a acrylic sump and piping 6 months later. Other than cleaning the glass of algae daily and checking water level etc. Nothing much to maintain after the initial crazy WC and constant tinkering of my skimmer. When u have the quotes please share with me too. Thanks! -
The last time I went to LFS to cured live rock, before I wanted to pay I saw a claw moving...in the end settled for fake rocks. As mentioned better be safe than sorry. Most LFS have so many rocks, hard for them to keep track. The hitchhikers could have been migrated from other rocks in the tank too. Some hitchhikers are like terminator they just don’t die.....unless u nuke them (bleach)

Tank Maker and equipments

Hi Bro, went through the same headache as you recently. LOL. In the end settled for a Red Sea 250. I went around asking for quotes and custom is actually more expensive then the red sea 250. A few custom makers even asked me to use normal glass for the sides lol. to summarise for you the pros and cons : Pros : -Red Sea 250 (correct me if im wrong) offers you damn good value in terms of price to quality/worksmanship which is very hard to beat. After all, they are mass produced and custom tanks are hand assembled. -Good for beginners like me. Basically plug and play. Cons : If your a an experienced reefer, the layout of the sump may no be what you desire. Only after a month, i fee that the sump could have been designed better. They are trying to squeeze everything into the small sump (mine comes with mini refugium). They are getting very common and shipping takes about 1-2 months and they are pre-sold. Pretty hard to get your hands on a white one (yes, white is more expensive than black! Damn!) Other than that, you cant really complain. Trying to ask a round for a quote with 12mm crystal clear/low iron (whatever you call it) and you will know what I mean. Happy reefing! my 2 cents. -
Thanks for sharing! Read that Red Sea coming out with a pretty wide range of new products. Auto Doser, "Gyre" wavemaker which can be controlled by their in-house app. Can't wait for 3rd quarter. Hope it comes to SG soon!

Do give some feedback after using bro. I tried coral pro and it raises dKH too much for my liking. Went back to Red Sea. But the beauty of coral pro is I can save a lot on supplements. Lol

Wah nice! The guys don’t get it. I have to pay for it..... Btw, did u use a diffuser for the radions? Looking at them too. Don’t know what’s the diff between them and the hydras 26Hd. Many sps keepers swear by them. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Hi all, found this a few days ago and seems to be growing. Looks like sponge to me but I can’t really tell from pics internet. Do I have to remove it? Many thanks

Thanks for the simple yet concise explanation bro. Been reading and still don't know what the heck some other forum members (overseas forums) are talking about. Maybe my england not powderful enough!
