My water parameters last Saturday after partial WC : PH : 7.8 Salinity : 1.025 Calcium : 425 Magnesiun : 1350 Alkalinity : 8.8 Only dose Red Sea Reef energy AB 2X in 6 days Seachem marine buffer daily till it stabilized at 8.2 Just did a test : PH : 8.2 Salinity : 1.025 Calcium : 440 Magnesium : 1470 Alkalinity : 10.7 repeated the test 2x especially dKH 3x so readings are correct fishes and corals looks ok 1. is it possible for ca, mg and dKH to increase with no dosing of supplements/buffers except the above. My corals didn’t consume anything? 2. Or is it the reef energy or Seachem marine buffer. Thanks.

May I ask how big is ur tank. Was in the same dilemma not too long ago. As mentioned, If you intend to keep sps. Minimal is the 360. Kessil u need a external controller if u want to save settings and set timer. With the AI HDs, u can use ur phone app. Which to me is a big plus. Nevertheless, both are great lights. Really depends on ur personal presence.

For my case, tank may be new. But some cleaning up, lights off for 1-2 days and less dosing and they are gone. Now my lights are at only 30-50%. Don’t even dare to use any green and red and also very little white light. Until it stabilises. Trying very hard not to dose any thing. Especially no pox. Heard that’s it’s very effective but can be deadly if overdose. Let me know if it works. Lol.

Good suggestions! Ur tank is pretty new. Do u dose bacteria like Microbacter7? Can consider changing the coral chips to other media like bio home, sera, marine block etc. (So many types). Check If good is stuck inside ur corals chips chamber. Pretty common. Happened to me before. If the fishes and corals looks ok. Should be fine.

Try to recall if you have any missing fishes/cuc etc. If your fishes and corals looks ok, maybe you will want to try to borrow a test kit? Try NYOS, Red Sea, Salifert? As mentioned, big changes does help, but if you can’t narrow the source of spike, it will come back again. And yes, good to know how old is your tank.

I have a apc backup for the wave maker and MTO (Maid TOP-up). But she’s kinda of blur and extremely forgetful....pray she doesn’t screw things up

Hi all, any recommendations on auto dosing pump with WiFi function? Seems like coral box have pretty good reviews. Price is affordable too. Anyone using the above? Was looking at the Red Sea dose but will only be available maybe end of the year. Thanks for any inputs.
