  1. Sorry but I’m abit confused. If you want to kill any hitchhikers or pest you may consider using bleach. If your are already using them, eventually algae will grow on them. They won’t be white very very soon. Maybe you may want to post a pic and let the experts here advice?
  2. I second that you should get the biggest tank that your space or finances allow. And don’t rush into it. If you rush things like I did, eventually there’s a payback time where you may have to put in more time and effort to rectify issues. Take your time to plan the equipment and livestock list too. If there’s a budget, you can take time to look for good used deals at the pasar Malam section too. Enjoy the journey and welcome to the dark side.
  3. Nice! Samsung phones really take much better pics than iPhone.....
  4. Soaked and ready to go. At $135 Option to purchase 2 Sets of XF-230 with controller. Both used for about 3 months plus and under warranty - $390
  5. Yes bro calibrated many times. Checked with a few users and they said the same thing. It’s slightly off but not too much. I like the alert function though since I can’t afford apex. Some bro said this : The price of an apex probe cost More than half of caper plus unit itself. What were you expecting on the accuracy lol. For the price and function. Can’t complain seriously.

    Nice gesture bro. Thumbs up!
  7. Amazing tank! I havent went for site visit bro! LOL
  8. Your absolutely spot on bro. I finally realized how difficult it is to have a mixed reef tank smaller than 4 feet. Placement of corals is really tough. Can’t find much shaded areas. I had to remove a WM as there’s too much flow for the softies. In fact I traded my scolys lol. Sps happy softies not happy and vice versa My current light is at 65% AB+ but currently on acclimation mode of 55% so its actually very low. The rainbow acans can take more light of about 220 par. But not so sure of my other acans. Headache......
  9. Thanks bro. Still longgggggg way to go.....lol
  10. Thanks bro. Nothing compared to many reefers here. Would like to do a re-scape if I have the time lol
  11. Nice. Post some pics after you load the corals. Lol
  12. All scolys traded. Thanks for all the queries.
  13. I actually think urs is easy to work with. U should see the new Red Sea sumps.... super cramped after they added the refugium.
  14. Just a note bro. I’m also using caper plus. There’s a 0.1-0.2 difference between caper and PH test pens. More obvious for PH. For temperature the variance is smaller. Even when the probe is calibrated. So 8.3 on caper may be higher than actual. This is confirmed with a few LFS which I’m not going to name.
  15. Yes bro. These and some small gonio frags are the ones I would hope to lift it off the sandbed a bit. Saw very nice rock at a LFS but it’s owned by another bro lol. Pretty common pieces bro. And can’t seem to take good pics with my iPhone....
  16. I’m using this app too. While it’s good for recording readings, it’s not very customisable. Like I can’t set my threshold. I also can’t manually key in the additives I have dosed. I can only use it as an alert. I think better to use excel or manual recordings. I have seen better free apps for android phones. But apple......sorry.... Personally, I think I’m better off buying other stuff.....my 2 cents.....
  17. Can’t find a suitable flat piece with the size I want lol. No worries. Find slowly. Thanks bro.
  18. King of DIY as mentioned by some bros!
  19. Can’t find a flat piece of rock. My acans are on the sandbed. Was thinking if can raise it like an inch or so with clear acrylic. Don’t know if it’s feasible.
  20. Are you taking orders? Need a small raised up platform for my softies too.
