hair algae is very very fine.. like your hair... something that im experiencing now! really irritating.. rocks look green...

those surface skimmers usually used for planted tanks.. $12 or so from shops... don't think there'll be ANY links on that as it's a very simple equiptment.. just connect it to the intake of your cannister filter..

hmmm a calcium reactor is just a device that allows u to dose calcium.. i think so lol but there are cheaper alternatives like dosing kalk or adding calcium and carbonate hardness at the same time...

no it was nitrite... after i added filter woll over the bioballs to reduce the amt of detrius falling on the LR, the nitrite became undetectable and nitrate dropped from abt 100ppm to 25ppm where it's hanging up till now! cannot blame my de-nitrator lar i just added it after abt 4 mths of seeing the nitrate at 25ppm.. haven't tested my nitrate in like 2 weeks actually hmmm the rainbar works on the water flow... when water flows thru it, it will spin. some science thing.. Centripetal Force or something like that if i remember correctly.. the water will flow and reach the END of the rainbar and the force will cause it to spin.. HOWEVER if the water flow is not strong enough, it won't reach the end of the rainbar so the rainbar won't spin..

i also can't make it... i've got to go to pulau ubin for some community involvement programme... waste of time! hmmm y guys go ahead or make it sooner.. before sch reopens... or actually later will be fine too i guess...
