Reefing is all out patience and knowing and u dressing ur ecosystem. Somethings are uncontrollable how experienced you are though. Below my experience. I am using canister in my tank for past one year.. I put Phosban, carbon, bio rings and seachem denitrate with one filter along on TOP. I used to clean my filter once in every two weeks at the beginning.. for past 6 mo that never cleaned.. still great because of the media there is no nitrate buildup and the cycle is continuous. I have a skimmer and cheating in my sump thats it. No other fancy equipment. Not even chiller run on aircon. Manual dosing. Measure the parameters once a month. Water changes once in a month 10%. Bio load is 30 fish and fully packed LPS and few SPS. Started from LPS now having SPS for past couple of months and my tank is doing great. I know as SPS dominates it’s not easy to handle. Only maintenance I do once in two weeks is clean my sump filter, skimmer, turnover the sand in main tank. Once a week clean the slight algae on the glass. For info my sump is next to my Tank , just 6 inch height difference between both tanks. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
