  1. Check the post before yours bro.. Sent from Singapore Reef Club mobile app
  2. My guess is from the wild.. but that’s just a wild guess [emoji23] Cause tbh I’ve never seen any LFS selling mangroves let alone mangrove saplings but I see plenty of saplings on some of our northern shores Sent from Singapore Reef Club mobile app
  3. That is quite the wall of GSP you have there hahaha Sent from Singapore Reef Club mobile app
  4. Sweet setup m8. cheers Sent from Singapore Reef Club mobile app
  5. Looking good but your refugium looks like it could use a wider spread of lighting bro Sent from Singapore Reef Club mobile app
  6. Correct me if I’m wrong but is that lower layer of substrate miracle mud? Sent from Singapore Reef Club mobile app
  7. Can’t argue with that. I guess with mechanical filtration in mind it just comes down to whether you’re a sock guy or a floss guy hahahaha Sent from Singapore Reef Club mobile app
  8. Real awesome stuff bro. Made me rethink my decision whether to expand my refugium or convert half of it into algae scrubber compartments Sent from Singapore Reef Club mobile app
  9. What did you dose and how much? IME GSP are some of the hardiest polyps, mine survived not one, but 2 tank crashes where every other coral pretty much died. If yours are evidently dying my first Guess would be you dosed too much of whatever you were dosing. Sent from Singapore Reef Club mobile app
  10. Depends on how frequent your water changes are and general husbandry. If you maintain your tank on a biweekly basis imo the skimmer is only a necessity when you have larger bioloads Sent from Singapore Reef Club mobile app
  11. I’ve seen them go for $900 at reefing reality occasionally Sent from Singapore Reef Club mobile app
  12. Might be hole in head lateral line disease. How’s it doing? It should heal on its own with good nutrition and water quality Sent from Singapore Reef Club mobile app
  13. thanks for sharing your Seahorse experience bro. IME they are some of the hardest species to keep alive(kinda like mandarins that don’t eat prepared foods)unless you have a very well-established refugium to grow lots of pods as food for them in the Long-term. I have one now and it’s been doing well for 3 months now with no signs of starving but I had to setup an external refugium just for it to maintain it cause it wouldn’t even eat frozen food Sent from Singapore Reef Club mobile app
  14. Cuttlefish are very hard to train to eat frozen food unless you buy captive-bred ones. You can actually catch plenty of small crabs at Pasir Ris beach at breakwater 14. Shrimp is more seasonal but when they are in season you can easily scoop them hundreds of glass shrimp out of the water at Pasir Ris beach and Changi Sent from Singapore Reef Club mobile app
  15. I have kept cuttlefish multiple times. IME they are not easy to keep mainly because they seem to like jetting backwards into the tank walls which might damage their tissue and cause infections. But if you’re keen on them, a Low-flow setup with plenty of rocks and substrate for them to blend in is ideal. Avoid sharp, protruding structures like certain corals and rocks because in a confined space they are blind to injure themselves on it Sent from Singapore Reef Club mobile app
  16. Wow, that looks overstocked for a 5ft with fishes of that size and growth capacity unless you have a sump loaded with filter media. But thanks for sharing bro. I wish I had an extra tank for a FOWLR system, too many of the fish I really like I can’t get cause they’d eat all my corals Sent from Singapore Reef Club mobile app
  17. The mirror trick indeed does work especially when you’re putting new fish in. Gives the new guy some time and space to settle in so the fish that might bully him doesn’t get to pick on him cause he’s too busy fighting his own reflection haha Sent from Singapore Reef Club mobile app
  18. Interesting concept but how do you get your flow in that thing? Hahaha Sent from Singapore Reef Club mobile app
  19. Made a simple 20g look great. Thanks for sharing! Sent from Singapore Reef Club mobile app
  20. You can try Pacific Reef (ahbeng) at Pasir Ris farmway. They have weekly shipments from Bali. Sent from Singapore Reef Club mobile app
  21. Kinda looks like a variant of rasta to me Sent from Singapore Reef Club mobile app
  22. same, except mine has suddenly decided to move very near to where my Euphyllia corals have been sitting for the longest time x.x Sent from Singapore Reef Club mobile app
  23. You can try getting a simple acclimation box with the covers. I managed to catch much faster and cautious fish like tangs by attaching food like sliced shrimp on the ends of a wire and tie them inside the acclimation box, at the end that is furthest away from the opening. Then I just monitor them from an arm’s length with the lid open. If One goes in, push the lid down. But then again my fish are very used to feeding in the open and if your fish are more timid it’s less likely that will work Sent from Singapore Reef Club mobile app
  24. Those are some impressive equipment bro! Hope everything goes smoothly for you Sent from Singapore Reef Club mobile app
  25. Some Yuma species IME like the orange ones prefer more light than the green ones but yes all of them close up under stronger flow Sent from Singapore Reef Club mobile app
