I switched the canister off and switched it back on again after some time. Started to hear gurgling sounds in the canister. seems like the output pipe gives out tiny bubbles too. is everything ok? what do i need to do to reduce the gurgling sound?

but a table would be a bit low right? i tot of using a mid-height cupboard. but don't know if the weight can be supported.

there's really no way u can catch a damsel without removing the LR unless you are real lucky. i have experienced that before 2.

i'm new too. don't think they are the same. seacheam stability adds bacteria into the water to aid acclimation of fishes. Aquapharm magnesium helps to maintain proper pH level and calcium must be used with magnesium as these 2 products go hand in hand.

Try aquapharm PH stabilizer (magnesium), calcium and trace elements. i also use seacheam stability.

ok. i'm only using a canister, no sump. so i guess there's no overflow. i am using a protein skimmer. i guess it would be good to add on a surface skimmer to keep the surface clean and clear?

If i'm using a protein skimmer already, do i still need to use a surface skimmer? What is the function of a surface skimmer?

My worry is that if the rainbar is below water level, then effectively the dissolved oxygen would be lesser than if I had placed the rainbar above water. pls enlighten me. thanks and regards

wow, you mean using MH would increase the temperature of the water so much till i would require a chiller??? hmm.. maybe i should forget abt MH then. as for T5, is it just the bulb that i change or must i change my entire light including the casing for the lights?
