Weekly LFS update 30th April to 6th May
aquagem replied to Patrick's topic in Weekly LFS Stocks Report / LFS Info Centre
If you don't mind the 20-40% premium as what "Leong_rei" mentioned, I'm sure sixth avenue will carry many healthy s blue tangs. In regards to why the premium, it's the consumer choice [emoji4] I'm guessing they have a good Customer Relation for before sales?? It will be good to hear more feedbacks from those which dealt with them before and after sales. Sent from Singapore Reef Club mobile app -
Weekly LFS update 30th April to 6th May

Well narrated. In rgds to transparency, I doubt it. Two LFS may carry the same supplier, hence don't justify the premium in prices if they were from the similar sources. Like myself, I'm sure the community will like to hear more Feedback for CS and after care services [emoji4] Sent from Singapore Reef Club mobile app -
Weekly LFS update 30th April to 6th May

That's an understatement. Are you suggesting that the other LFS livestocks which serve the community are with a lower quality? hence the inflated prices? Truth to be said, perform your own due diligence in conditioning your livestocks.. bearing in mind, all livestocks are perishable... on another note anyone care to share their customer service or after care experiences [emoji4] it's nice to hear some feedback! Cheap coral chips vs ceramic balls
aquagem replied to aquagem's topic in New to the Marine Aquaria Hobby
Started 2 Quarantine tanks simultaneously and decided, why not use different media each, hence the test. If the cheap coral chips are doing the job, I don't think it's necessary to test with the more costly and reputable media [emoji23] I'll not comment for the Long run as they are solely for short term set up. However, I believe if one practices good husbandry (eg water chg), having good parameters shouldn't be an issue be it Long or short term... Sent from Singapore Reef Club mobile app -
I've seen it couple of times. They ain't too bad with price. Contemplated with getting one but I was told Problem is getting the tank temperature as close to 16 -18 degrees. However they do sometime adapt to 23-24 but that's a gamble.. Sent from Singapore Reef Club mobile app

Any particular cold water fish you're considering. Depending on type of fish, you will set the temperature accordingly. Sent from Singapore Reef Club mobile app

Given there's not much info on this particular wrasse, I did not expect all to do fairly well. On the other hand I've not expected all to die as well... my guess is they are very skeptical to internal and perhaps external parasite.. Sent from Singapore Reef Club mobile app
