Save yourself the $$$ & trouble...the best bet is to get those floating deco-fish usually found in feng-shui tank & stick waterproof embossed pics of those exquisite fishes...that's ya nearest Dream comes True !!!
Ýeah I agree...as our climate here is terrible...dont take the risk cos' u wouldn't want to have 'steamboat' fish-cake or 'kueh' floating around in ya tank !
Well it's difficult to assess a healthy specimen as sometimes it's already enclosed in a bag...waiting for potential buyer or re-export.
You are lucky...mine eats after 2 days...& I thought all is well but then short-lived for 2.5 weeks only.
Well to some richie rich folks paying $1K++ is not a problem...juz like those who pays for premium bred Arrowanas, Cichlids or KOIs.
Mmmm...I'll be most interested to see the school of GEMS !
Located at No 1 Pasir Ris Farmway 1, Blk C, Pasir Ris Dr 12 (next to Mainland Tropical Farm).
Sometimes you can find some real coral/invert 'GEMS' there...& the ever-friendly folks !
Enjoy the 'GEMS' but prepare to impart $$$...!
Aiyoh...no need to wait for white spots...juz scoop fish out & paint 'white tip-ex' on body...for good effects mah !
Well the only consolation now is to stick pics of Gem Tang all over the tank glass...until I strike TOTO or 4D.
Has any fanatic tang lover out there keeps the above tang before ?
Or has anyone come across this gem in our local LFS ?
Heard it's a rare beauty from Africa & I'm sure it's gonna be very ex-$$$.
One tip is to top up water in your FR first before powering up the pump...& dont forget that the brown or black fine residue will settle down on your corals, live rocks & bottom...& it doesn't dissolve !
