the trick is to introduce 'VARIETY'...you can also try veggies food or RED/PURPLE seaweed...or even sinking food for gobies ! In time to come, ya TANGS will appreciate you more...for your efforts !

Aiyoh...this is always the common mistake that sometimes reefers like ourselves make...ensure that you always read up & check before you buy. Well ANGELS are always the 'devil in disguise' ...beware...ya corals at risk !!!

You should try not to share return pumps with essential 'nerve centre' equipments like protein skimmer & chiller...you will compromise on the effectiveness of the equipments. And don't forget that if ever the pump fails, those shared equipments will be affected too.

Water condition are another impt factor like CA, MG...

Why don't you consider a U-shaped tank ? The ultimate presentation will be superb cos' you can dedicate centre section for SPS...left section for LPS & right section for softies... How's that ???

Wah very long story to put down in words leh...but in my short breath (1) Invest in good Equipments (2) Create many hiding places (3) Generate lots of currents & high water flow rate (4) Introduce least aggressive & small species first & lastly...keep 'Fingers-Crossed'...

FYI, starfish doesn't lasts long in an enclosed environment due to different nutritional requirements.

Oops it's better to release it back to the wild...before fatal mishap happens ... but not East Coast or Sentosa ok...
