Wah all these ###### for TATS !!! I used to have an exotic fijian BTA...big rounded ######...oops TIPS! ...hand-fed...grew & flourished...with my resident Clark Clownfish. Until one day it decided to move to a very secluded dimly-lit corner (don't know why ???) where my hand can't reach to feed it... Slowly it shrunk, withered & melted away... Now ANEMONES...NO MORE for me !

Yeah I seconded that idea...as I have tried different methods like sock, coconut bag, tap filter bag, cloth mesh pouch, extra pipings, cover outlet mouth with filter wool, etc....only to discover that they solve the micro-bubbles problem for the moment. ...until I tried this cost-effective method that is to insert a big rectangular piece of stiff black filter sponge (which u can buy from any aquarium shop) in between the return pump & baffle at the last section of the sump. The 'holes' in the sponge effectively trapped any big & small bubbles & of course dirt particles that flow through it. Maintenance is easy as I just take the sponge out, rinse it, tap it to remove water droplets & then re-use... save money$ !!! Mirco-bubbles no more...except now I have to deal with my resident 'bomber' in my main tank that periodically spurts out sands, mess up my corals & water clarity... Cheers...

Ha, ya see u need to do ya 'homework' first b4 ya start introducing fishes into ya tank tat u do not know about...& u regret when they create 'havocs' ! Well Centropyge species is just one of the sub genera families of ANGELS (Pomacanthidae) family & they are not truly reef-safe. Genera of Pomacanthidae includes: * Apolemichthys * Genicanthus * Centropyge * Holacanthus * Chaetodonoplus * Pomacanthus * Pygoplites Ya should go for the genus Genicanthus family if ya are keeping a mixed reef tank. if you have enough LR in ya main tank...shouldn't be a problem. I have done that & it didn't affect both fishes & corals. But still monitor ya water parameters closely. And ya should carry out about 10% water change every week if possible.
