  1. Of course if you are collecting ornamental reef fishes which are commonly found around coral reefs areas. You don't expect to catch Moorish Idols juz by throwing a net in Malaysian coastal waters.
  2. It's an offence to collect marine life forms in Malaysian Marine Parks or Reserves. http://www.nre.gov.my/nre2005/English_Vers.../pengenalan.htm Malaysian Fisheries Act 1985. This act states in sections 43 & 44 that: (1) Any person who in any marine park or marine reserve in Malaysian fisheries waters without the permission of the Director-General in writing commits the following shall be guilty of an offence: * fishes or attempts to fish; * takes, removes or is in possession of any aquatic animal or aquatic plant or part thereof, whether dead or alive; * collects or is in possession of any coral, dredges or extracts any sand or gravel, discharges or deposits any pollutant, alters or destroys the natural breeding grounds or habitat of aquatic life, or destroys any aquatic life; * constructs or erects any building or other structure on or over any land or waters within a marine park or marine reserve; * anchors any vessel by dropping any kind of weight on, or by attaching any kind of rope or chain to, any coral, rock or other submerged object; or destroys, defaces or removes any object, whether animate or inanimate, in a marine park or marine reserve (2) No person shall carry, use or possess within a marine park or marine reserve in Malaysian fisheries waters - * any spring-gun, spear gun, spear fishing equipment, harpoon or suction gun; or * any other kind of weapon potentially harmful to any aquatic plant life, aquatic animal life or to the coral reef structure. In section 25, the Act states that any person who contravenes or fails to comply with any provision of this Act shall be guilty of an offence and where no special penalty is provided in relation thereto, such person shall be liable to a fine not exceeding twenty thousand ringgit or a term of imprisonment not exceeding 2 years or both.   3. Try to keep ya temp lower cos' ya fishes metabolism rate will go up & they also become restless & stressed.
  4. besides, you can 'kay-liao' to ya meals if u need to boost up with extra vitamins such as 'royal exclusiv jelly-o scumate' !
  5. I've started using the product for 2 weeks liao & my nitrate readings are negligible. One of the benefits of this product is that it can be re-usable for about 20 times which means substantial cost savings$$$ in the long run.

  8. Pump maintenance may be an issue as I can see that the whole pump unit resides inside the skimmer. Otherwise, pocket$ also pain pain...
