Halo Magix; I juz bought the M620 last week and it works without any hickups. Like any magnetic pumps, the shaft will stuck if the the 2 rubber buffer, rod and the impeller are not align properly. If you stay near Toa Payoh, I can help take a look at it.

They dun seems to care but strong flow promotes the spread to other rocks.

Guyz and Galz; I have 3 prata, 1 red, 1 green and one golden brown. Over the period of 2 weeks, the color has fade a little, stress from my rescape and high temp at 31 deg (not fix the chiller and fan back). Now trying to bring it back to health. Feeding 2 times a week. Dun complain abt the temp, I know. They dun even open as big, show skeleton if the flow is high when I on seio... But if I dun on, algae bloom with low flow... So my seio is off now. The blasto all I can see is dull red and green and not even showing the bright red I expect to see. I hide it from light and flow, no improvement. I have only attach the pix of prata, please see if it is okay, the brown one is a rarer ones and it opens different from the common ones. But dunno if anyone kept this before. All suggestion welcome. Otherwise I will consider for trade.

2ft t5 lightings-which brand is better??
nakazoru replied to gerrard_boon's topic in Product Reviews
Ever tot of using the icecap ballast with D-D tube. Went to Reef Depot to see the demo. Wah cannot compare to any of the taiwanese brand. For that short trip there, the icecap ballast fires 4 tube at lower intensity, slowly it increases the intensity.... the 4 tube of D-D will go very bright after a while, much brighter that what I use now. Ballast is external, so heat is outside the light fixture, more efficient on the chiller. What it does is improve the intensity and lifespan of the T5 tube. The D-D true actinic tube brings out the coloration of the coral I believe you will not see with the regular actinic tube. Icecap ballast alone is approx 300SGD, good investment on a long run. -
Yo Bro; Forget to tell you to be careful of the ball-valve when opening, it may come loose as you will turn it the most. If necessary, silicon it.

It takes 4hrs to hardens and 1 day to fully cure. In water is faster as the instruction says. Did not use it long enuf to know. I stay Toa Payoh.

Hi Guyz and Gals; Bought the above for 1 week, still have receipts, used 5% to bond zoo, find that not appropriate. Found out that it does not work for zoo. Great for SPS. Cures underwater. reef safe as it is inert. Color is coraline purple. Bought 18SGD, selling 10SGD. Juz a epoxy so no need pix lah.

Updatez of this operation... I bought the star polyps in Nov place it at the place I want it to spread. These are the bright green GSP that will not spread so fast. The dull ones spread faster. When I first bought the GSP. Take a look.

Bro Qxnviolet; Good to see another reefer use canister. Many denonce it but I have 3 at home. Manage to recover my tank from many near crashes by running a additional canister... I have 2 tier of bio-home which they have micro spore to house bacteria, a way for neutrients export. depending on your canister you will like the best combination. Mine is Tank-> Bio-home-> Bio-home-> RowaPhos-> Cabon-> Tank, so the water goes from Biological-> Biological-> Chemical-> Chemical. One thing I never do is wash the Bio-home with tap water, as this will kill the bacteria and cause a crash if wash for too long. I wash/rinse with salt water when I do water change (Salt water from water change). I has faithfully done its duties for 2 years without failing me. Except for low-quality canister that leaks. As for how much to use, depending on your Bioload and of course ur canister size. I use as much as possible. I have used bio-home with bacteria, if you want, give you with a frag or ur coral.

Casing? Dun think anyone selling. I custom DIY my casing.
-
The Skimmer can wait... Too tire to source for the pump. My Canister had this in order: 1. Bio-home 2. Anothor Bio-home 3. RowaPhos 4. Activated Carbon Never fail to clear my water in 1 day.

Haha Jervis; The zoo will spread like mad in no time... Since ur tank is big, no worries. Bro godzillaliu88; The lite I use is 4 tube of T5. Consider my tank being 1.5 ft deep... Went to Reef Deport, what very informative with Mr Seet... So tempted to buy a Deltec.. Cannot compare German with those Taiwan stuff. Saw the Iceprobe T5 ballast at more than 300SGD, value for money consider its advantage: Brightness and tube and stability, thus tube will last longer.
