Believe it is marketed by Future Electronics. When I bought mine, the K2 star not even out. Guess LED is really fast moving tech. How much you paid for these guys?
-
I dun believe it can be used, as it is a phosphate salt. Sure you get this correct? I will cause algae boom...
-
No, I contact them via email. No showroom just a sales office. I have seen spotlight type LED 3W-5W, complete with heatsink/AC/DC Converter at one shop in SLS, but taiwan/China brand. Selling at a wopping SGD40/pc... Mad... somemore limited colour also.
-
Actually Luxeon is manufactured in Penang so it should not be ex like states/Europe. Likewise for the rest of brand, all asia... If I order direct from US, I will just forget abt it. I buy direct from Future Electronics Singapore, but I guess they only deal with company sales and required PO and stuff.

I got mine K2 for ~SGD7 with lens. Only when order bulk.

6055 adds only 1000l/hr... Sureflow also bulky, maxijet I dun know... I was actually thinking if I did not acheive the flow I desire, I add 2 x 6045 in the middle of the tank... Any way, I will start up RD first to see how bad it is.
-
Pianz... That is what everybody told me when they heard me use 6045... I did not like 6100, as it is so bulky... Maybe can take a look at the pix if it is possible. Also I seen the new polario from Rio, big turnover, dun know good or not, controllable also... I got a full time job you know. I try lah.. See the pix and give me suggestion. The RD will be reduced due to head loss...

Hello clown master; Yes it is a waste of space and definitely constriant further the placement of corals, meaning it will restrict the the ability to put more corals. It is a drawback when I put it on papers that it will be a minimalist layout of the main tank with mostly SPS and softies. The valley design, do you mean a split into a "two tower"? I try not to as it will soon be populated by SPS which I may not see the valley anymore. What I trying to do now is a underground canyon below the top level. Hee; That I was thinking of it for a day, now getting to it. Hi Kareen; Long time no see, how is the Live phyto going, still alive? All PVC is fully enclosed with only holes drilled so it is a network of pipework with no open/terminating end, thus the necessary pipework. It is a provision for underground flow if I so require it. A high tower with four 13mm PVC pillar may be wobbly that I phantom, unless it is surrounded by LR to give a enforced support meaning more LRs. I wanted more water volume. By the way the width of tank is 2ft, the pipework is 1ft so my allowance for hiding pipe is 1ft, hope it is enuf Primary reason is to lessen the LRs easing rescaping, then more sw, then some holes for LS to hide, then underground flow. Yes it does lessen my burden to reach the bottom which is 2 1/2ft, now my Tee shirt always get wet....

Hi Kelvin; TY for the Ah pek contacts, 3 way view, I like it but also worried that space constraint with such a scaping. cross my finger. Bro Peace, Yes I did tot of a circulation within the pipe and have drilled holes already (Also so the pipe works will not float). But I do not think I will attached a pump to it as I do not like the idea of a wire running in the middle. But I can seriously think about again for hiding.

Bro; TY. Black egg crate from LFS in Toa Payoh, chance by it as it is old stock. Not many LFS has black, only white.

The MCB acts as a power distribution to me, namely 1 to Return, 1 to Skimmer, 1 to Chiller, 1 to lights, 1 to wavemaker. That is all. It provide overload protection of 6A to each equipment. Actually I really should use a 3A MCB rather than 6A. Chiller 6A will be just right. These MCB are source from the isolated MCB/ELCB of the bomb shelter, so any tank equipment trip will not affect the house but the bomb shelter. Here is the overflow.... Nicely cut fins... CNC milled...

Evaporate Cooling for our tank using may not be cost effective and practical. I did it power plant automation so cooling tower application is really nottin new. For industial application, we have high differential temperature, thus using a cooling tower, will greatly cool the equipment rapidly even without a fan, just sprinkle water and ambient temp does the job with evaporation. Our reef tank has a differiential temp of abt 3deg from our environment, from equipment/pump we use. So the best temp we can acheive is only 2 deg lower. Do not expect the reef tank to be 26 deg when ambient temp is 28 using evaporative cooling, it will never happen, matter of physics. Having said that, simply install a airstone in your sump and a fan blowing across the surface will acheive same result of evaporative cooling. Do expect lots of splash and water lost. Cheers.
