  1. If you are well inform, then you can try keeping coral. Otherwise you will do a major part in destroying them. Captive coral can do better than in the wild if you are good at what you doing.
  2. Wah they propagate so fast, maybe I go buy some star polys...
  3. Bros; Bought Rowaphos, but do I put whole tub in to my canister? Do I need to add bit by bit?? Can I put together with active carbon???
  4. Mushies does not really need very high flow. If lights is problem, check if it is expanding to get lights, normally it is these symtoms. If water no good or disturbed, it will string to become very small...
  5. I tot ATI is just the tube??? Is there everything ATI??
  6. Currently stuck in the with the lightings, cannot find suitable lights. I want to do a similar one leh.
  7. I tot Star polys are quite singly distributed. Those on the glass was quite connected together.
  8. Bros; Saw the display tank at Reborn in the coral section. There are LPS coral on the glass wall of this display tank. Bros who went to reborn should have saw it. Thought it was Alverpora, izzit? Does it propogate like that???
  9. Tank size most of the time is proportional with cost...
  10. Good work and nice tank you have. Just one note, the ballast heats up quite a bit, monitor if it will melt the PVC. I understood some PVC is lesser in heat resistance. Most duct are for air-con if I'm not wrong, so may not withstand heat very well
  11. 2ft HO T5 is 24W. Not heard of 14 or 36W. Your 4 tube retrofit can get from a few place: Dr Evil, Horizon, aquamarin just to name a few. I think horizon get promo now, set for I think 200$
  12. ich in its infancy you can't see with your nake eyes.
  13. You may like to read abt garlic first, it is to built ressistance of fish but not cure ich. I use to believe garlic very much, now only use to enhance food if fish refuse to eat especially in QT. Garlic juice in a bottle available at LFS.
  14. It easy but depends on what kinda of fixture you need. In your hood??? Circuitry is simply.
  15. I think toxin referred here is nitrate. Removing it will not cause nitrate outbreak if done properly. Nonetheless I dun believe will solve the root of the problem. I use bio-ring and rinse it every month to remove whatever stuck there and replace whatever water there, it is okay if well maintained. Back to the reds, I think it may be true that the LS suffocated whatever those red stuff. For your polyfilter to be that color, the water has high concentration of it. Worst if they absorb oxygen. One suggestion, is to blast air into the tank, add a skimmer if you have combine with whatever chemical media you have, and one week you will be up and running.
  16. Mushies also can, quite easy to keep. But remember to handle with care. They stint and zoo is toxic, use glove when handling... Since you have FOWLR for a while, should be easier lah...
  17. Certainly your water seems not right, to have that color. What is the food you offer, overfeeding? If you have that color after the crash, leaving tank empty for it to settle first. It may be cyno in the water too but not common. Introduce some active carbon to remove any chemical that is unable to test. Should clear in one week. Good luck.
  18. Yes, Skimmer, Reactor all to be included.
  19. Go Reborn to get some affordable bali zoo at 3 SGD. Look up on how to do a dip for zoo before indtroducing to the tank. AT SRC, sometime you can adopt some stuff. Take care.
  20. Normally they just die of starvation...
  21. Hi reefers; I'm looking for FRAGS OF THE BELOW: 1. Star polyp 2. Alveropola 3. Ric 4. Yuma Coming back from China, finally after 3 weeks, so it time to take care of tank... I do not need a big frags, only small one will do. Reason to propagate, not just buy, to see which coral prospers fastest. I do not expect free lunch, so you may charge me if you feel like it. But a free drink may be good.
  22. I tot those drift wood was made for fresh water. Even in fresh water, it will be really messy over time. I wouldn't add to my marine. If you need, maybe I can dig it out from the store and give to you loh, try it out...
