My canister history 7 yrs: 1. Fulval - good but many LFS dun sell and cannot find parts. Give to friend 2. Another from china - okay until the connector gave way and no parts for china product. 3. Jebao - 4 mth wire seal leak, repaired 4. Azoo - to replace the Jebao temporary, pianz faulty product, major leak, send back to replace. 5. Dophin - Dun want the Azoo and insist on a different brand. Running 2 weeks, lots of air coming out. nvr mind, what the hack. 3 canister at home, all china brand... got money, dun buy them, its for cheap ppl like me... Bcos I dun have a sump, so bo bianz....

UPS for your most critical piece of equipment to "tahan" for a while maybe at best 4 hours. If you need all equip, then go buy a small standby diesel generator. Asking for a "buzz", so UPS comes with it. Load calc for UPS and diesel gen is off course But "Buzz" is not...

I have been visiting Reborn for quite a while now, have been always happy with their price. Went there abt 3 times a week since it is near my office and home. The first time there, I was so impress with the main tank in the coral unit. Also the not for sale tank. Made some observation: 1. The 2rd floor is the same since day 1. 2. The fish unit has nothing to shout about, but just some regular clowns, demsel and tangs, sweet lips, chromis but its okay. 3. Coral unit is the worst of my observation, Lights are not on on some housing tank, even some that is on, I can hardly see the coloration. Some corals I observe like gonio, star polyps, mushies either melting or not opening. Anemone are upside down. Main tank has melting away coral. Are they going thru a maintainance breakdown?? The floor is always wet. So afraid I slip and fall. I have nottin against Reborn, in fact visit them so often so I will not miss any value for money good stuff. I raise the concern as I really like to see a good LFS near me but not becoming another "Wong Lai Kee" in Chinatown. Went there to wanting to buy star polyps, went home disappointed. Bros here pls who know reborn staff well, please relay the msg.

A UPS will do that. As for surge protection, I believe new apartment and HDB has that, if I'm not wrong. Older flats be more careful. Best to check with HDB or town councel. But I may be wrong.

Update it shall be. After executing the last exercise of: 1. Added Rowa already. 2. Dosing Kalkwasser already, dripper done. I normally use overnight tap water + Kalkwasser for top up, diatom up til tuesday still appears, but much less. I have been executing the above for 4 days, still have to rake the sand and clean the glass every day but take less time. From yesterday nite, I instead of using tap water, I use distill water for the first time, for whole day today. Came home after work, surprise no visible diatom on first sight, not on sand or glass. Closer inspection, see very very faint trace on sand. D@mn I happy. I will be still monitor for a while to confirm this, as this is the full day of top-up with distill water. Cannot be conclusive. I attach a pix of the tank but I a lousy user, cannot get the exact color and focus of my tank.
