  1. Bro raydiative; Basic Tank is running now. Still pending: 1. I have a skimmer but need to buy a appropriate pump. 2. Also pending is the chiller. Bought but not install. 3. Waiting Circulation pump to come and install. Given away the common zoo, clowns. Trying to give away the demsels.
  2. Bro lyz77; You do not have to connect to the DB of the house. Any point can be used provided the current rating is sufficient to power the tank. The point will be able to source 13A. You will chose those MCB with the lower current rating. What I used is the mains connected to 16A MCB and the other 4 6A MCB. The 16A MCB acts like just a switch in this case as it may be higher than the house DB. The 6A MCB is the main protection in this case. If any equipment trip, it will thus not trip the house. Most electrician will not take up a small scale job. Most will also just do a per you tell them.
  3. Bro Altantis; Wah, that is really quite Ulu for me at least. Also the wires is not really that bad as compare to some that I have seen. Also need to buy trunking first. Tell you what, I go play soccer on Sat evening at Jalan Kayu, maybe I dropby to take a look or fix for u loh. But I need to see if I got spare trunk. PM ur HP okay..
  4. Bro; I dun make a living doing piping... Why not like this, you pay for the BOM (Bill of materials). Then you just give me frags of some nice corals for my effort... Coral I prefer: Colorful Ric Florida, cynar, super color zoo. Also need to tell me the diameter of the piping of your choice, mine I use 25mm for my 30G, a little overkilled. Installation you do youself.
  5. This overflow pipe is amazingly easy to construct. Almost like Lego provided you get the length right. Look at my current tank and you will see.
  6. A peep into the small sump tank. All mushie are now there. Using a phillips tornado 23W 6500K bulk for the sump. Very bright in there. Got a cheapo reflector at Sim Lim tower for 1 dollar, but need modification to join them together. The restarting exercise injure some corals my brown clam and mandarin dragonet when the coral rack fell off the support.
  7. Okay guyz; The tank is now up and running. My canister is still running as the sieo is not in yet. Most of the zoo I bought from Reborn I did not include in the tank as I wanted better zoo in there. Mushroom in the sump tank for me figure out where to put them.
  8. Dun think you can connect direct to the transformer. Anyway juz go to those LED shop at Sim Lim tower and they will advise you. They have a bunch of LEDs that is not restricted to 24V.
  9. Bro Sunny; Long time no hear from you. I got these timer from China the last time for 20SGD for both. It is a digital timer so unless it is a high end brand, it will have problem. These timer does not handles electrical surges very well, so whenever I power up some equipment, the source fickle... Still the good old analog timer better. The haer germany timer never fail me, but these digital timer already headache liao. May be I add some surge protection to it.
  10. Bro Altantis; Haha DIY no need PhD or BEng. DIY needs only a NTC. I look at how the technician do it, and also pick up some pointers from them. Help? Where u stay? I stay at Toa Payoh, dun tell me Ulu Sembawang What u need anyway.
  11. Bro jervismun; The Fan yep looks like 2 obselete speaker. 2 fan very good in cooling me down while I stick my head working in the cabinet. I bought 1 Japan made and 1 China made and guess what? The China one is very noisy. Need to replace it soon. As for the lightings, yep the old lighting will go back.
  12. Bro Maxstar81; Yep the wiring is well organised by the trucking. A little expensive abt 15SGD at Sim Lim Tower but definitely worth it on a long run. As for the Cheapo overflow, it is amazingly simple for the concept. All parts are cheap cheap. Only the drilling will need a clamp and a drill. I tried it yesterday, wow flush like a toliet bowl. Too much flow so I lower the flow with the hand valve, otherwise siphon will break.
  13. A full tank view... with sump. Running the canister to clear the water... and circulation. Gona mix more water tonite.
  14. The sump tank in the cabinet. A small sump. How I wish I have a bigger one.
  15. The inside of the tank with the overflow.
  16. Bro jervismun; This is how the "unusual looking thing" looks like when installed. Overflow....
  17. Dear colinsoon & TntR2; Ya ya, that is a cheapo overflow drain pipe I got from one bro here. Cost me S$15. Those LFS overflow, pianz cost so expensive, just dun make sense to me. Acrylic stuff but cost a bomb... As for the strainer, mark it out and clamp down and drill nice hole there.

  19. Bro jervismun; You are one that buy all good stuff, deep pocket... Bro somebody; The tought is installing the overflow... my headache now. Bro raydiative; Thank you for your offer to help. Last thing is the overflow, shoukd be okay. Take a look at this overflow...
  20. I installed 2 AC Fan to make the cabinet breathable, since my Dielectric-Chiller need ventilation to work.
  21. This show the use of trunking to organise the cables. Neat right. Bro jervismun; Saftety also means that the electrical cables are neat. If you doing electrical next, look for these trunking from Sim Lim.
  22. Look at the electrical wiring and the way I wired them. I think its a overblown. I have 1. 6 230V output with digital timer 2. DC power supply for chiller 3. 4 normal 230V output 4. 2 AC Fan 5. 1 incoming MCB and 4 outgoing MCB. Bro jervismun; I dun have a odd shape sump... juz a rectangle one. Safety is done with these MCB. The chiller is fused by a 6.3A so these is the safeyy
  23. How the Cabinet after some modification. Really tire of sourcing for parts... I make a mess of my house.
  24. A look again at the cabinet when it arrive. Bro raydiative; The new cabinet is higher and I really worries abt maintenance since I use to a low tank.
