1st pic looks like from family of star polyp, 2nd zoa, 3rd looks like anemone. Just my hunch n I may b wrong. Don't think they are harmful. Just whether u wish to have them in your tank is up to u. Happy reefing!

Seems ok to me as you have used live rock n water... also u added mysis n dosed bac every other day. Go slow in stocking as tank needs to accomodate bio load introduced with each new live stock. Enjoy!

Hi, did you seed your tank? (E.g. Put a prawn or etc) Also did u dose any bacteria?

Thanks freddy... I placed them on sand bed n Colour came back... but the stem got chipped off showing inner skeleton... still surviving but I'm puzzled what nutrients it lacks... -

Yesterday afternoon a frag of xenia fell off my tank wall... i super glued it to a frag plug... first time doing so it was messy and think i over glued it... didn't think it will survive as it didn't pulse n ooze alot of gluey stuff when i was trying to fix it onto the plug... This morning, found my xenia frag missing... cos saw an empty frag plug but a snail near it... n water cloudy... first thought was is my new wrasse dead? Found it alive and felt relieved... then i concurred my xenia frag has melted... Next i turned on lights to check why my water was so cloudy n saw snail oozing lots of white stuff out... am pretty amused n came to a hypothesis of a food poisoning case for my snail... managed to capture its act on cam... Sigh... gonna so water change... any advice just in case i missed out on something more sinister? Happy Easter! Diahorrea_snail.mp4

Actually if u reward them with some incentives (of course not through TC) to the workers of TC... they will come in to help... guess it will be a cheaper option than engaging professional movers n win win for these TC workers n yourself...

Dart to hide in hole because it saw people movement outside tank... ya... it floats around n swim against current after two days when it got use to the new environment... hopefully it is pure unlucky n not because of my negligence... yes fire fish is cute!

Hi reefers, need some advice and help. I just bought a fire goby last Saturday and this morning it died out of the blue. 5 days in total Is there any kind of disease or problem with my tank? Background: 2ft ios tank water started in nov 2016. Water parameters normal range for ca kh no3 mg. First ich breakout about 2.5 months ago and eventually wipe out all my fishes about 1.5 months ago. Remaining tank mates coc like red hermit crab and snails and a boxer shrimp. Bought a fire goby from ah beng farm last saturday and it was swimming fine and no spots detected since. Tank has pods... did broadcast frozen mysis into tank but didnt see it eat... Retrieve fish body and has no physical injury seen... ruling out boxer bully shrimp attack... Am at a lost because i dont want to just keep a corals only tank... Any kind soul can point 2 this newbie what did i do wrongly or what should i do?

1 big water change better than 2 smaller one??
Xtraster replied to jackalcleo's topic in FOWLR (Fish-only with Live-rock)
IMO, If nutrient export is your main concern, 50% water change will be better than doing 25% twice over a few days. It also depend on your resources available (effort, time, etc) as there is no hard and fast rule I feel. So long it is a routine you follow, the tank species will adapt accordingly over time. Hope to hear more views too on this topic as i read some tanks don't do water change at all.
