hmm..... IMHO, i think rainwater might not be that good. With all the fume emission in Singapore, rainwater could contain acid, dust, and other stuff like that. Unless you want to pass it through some sort of filtration, which perhaps using tapwater would be easier, I wouldn't take the risk. Plus of course you need a big container to collect enuff water, enough time on your hands to wait for it to fill up, and rain prayers..... leh chey lah......

You are right. Many friends of mine who were in NPCC before did not get into SPF for NS. Such things are pure luck, you really gotta t depend on where CMPB wants to post you to. Just go with the flow. If you really want to further your studies, keep your options open first. After uni you will still have lots of time to choose your career path.

You may like to ask those serving officers what their comments are. Cause from what i know, many of those officers who had just sign on want to quit their job in SPF. Not an easy job i would say. If you are thinking of signing on straight after your A's, the most you will be signing on as a Sergeant. You may like to consider furthering your studies and come back later to try your luck signing on as anInspector. Better prospect.

Hi all, i was pondering. When reefers say that DSB will mature after 6 months or more, how do we know that our DSB has really matured and the system is finally stable? Any tell tale signs that i can look out for? Thanks.

I'm using a E700 now. The functions are user friendly and i just love the phone. The down side to the phone is that it doesnt have blue tooth. I would recommend you to get a E700 instead of the E600. I feel that E600 are for ladies, unless you are a lady, then by all means, get the E600. Functions are the same, and it's smaller.

Maybe if you can state your budget, it would be easier for fellow reefers to help you in your choice of a skimmer. Maybe I can help give a rough guide, the skimmers below are commonly used by the local reefers. Tried and proven? Less than $100: Weipro $100 - $300: Macro $300 - $600: Can't think of any, maybe others can help? $600 + : Aqua C, H&S, Euroreef, Beckett, Aquamedic etc You realise the better skimmers will be priced higher. If you do not have a sump, can consider the hang-on Aqua C or the out-sump types.
