I don know much abt cutting a leather, but for my case, i just let it propagate naturally. It will just grow in size and a small portion of it will split from its mother colony. That is how mine propagated. But it takes time.

To add to what tone had said. Some of the senior reefers here are achieving wonderful results for SPS with T5s. It does generate less heat as compared to MH. But i think using MH is still a norm for many users, so the choice is yours. happy reefing

Best way to get around this is to get a fuel efficient car, e.g. those with vvti engines. Then you dun really have to think so much about route, air-con etc. But I do agree with keeping rev low, between 2000 to 2500rpm. I achieved about 13.5km/l as compared with 12km/l on my Dad's Wish by driving below 100km/hr on expressways (My rpm for > 100km exceeds 2300rpm).
