Let say shrimp need drip acclimation for 2-3 hours, if we do the drip outside tank. The temp will change as tank always a bit cooler right? Or after drip put into tank for temp acclimation again? Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Yeah learned from post and youtube. I have some doubt to: 1. Put the fish bag in aquarium for temperature acclimating. 2. Doing drip acclimation from tank to the fish bag, i notice a lot do this with fish bag outside a pail or storage and not tank. Isnt this defeat the purpose of temperature acclimating? Wow thanks a lot for all the feedback. Can a IOS tank work without mechanical filter? Currently i have remove half bio wool from third compartment and replace it with bioball. What plan to do next: 1.Reduce first compartment bio foam and put in more bio filter. 2. Put one layer polyfilter in middle of bio wool layer. Havent put in as heard it will absorb ammonia. Want do it only when cycling complete. 3. Definitely will add more live rock. See any reefer selling or not. Didnt know marine pure block can be cut. Thought it is very hard lol . May give it a try. I do use revoreef reefstart bacteria to help cycling . I dose it alternate day with skimmer off for an hour. However skimmer is on most of time. I notice there are some minor brown algae thing on sand bed behind the rock last few day and i hate it so i siphon it and do like 5% water change with bacteria dose. Ammonia stay still on 0.25 for continuous 5 days using API test kit now. I throw some fish food and measure next day also same 0.25..... My other test kits still on the way, delivery slower than expected. Cannot progress for this week Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Doing some reading tonight for polyfilter, activated carbon and purigen. Seems debate is always on purigen or carbon better . There is no conclusion which better but purigen seems more economical as it can be recharge easily. I will give purigen a trial once i finish my carbon stock. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
