Where did you buy this ATO tank ? Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

If possible I like to visit your tank and take a photo to see what exactly is the problem. Sent from my SM-G950F using Tapatalk

Why do you want to use Drop 0.6 ? Is it because you are having IOS tank ? In my opinion this Drop 0.6 is too small to be of any good use. If you are tight with space, try get the HOB UAS from Taobao might be a better option. Just surf under UAS 300, you will likely see the product you need. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Persistently High Nitrate levels
Mike Stone replied to blahblahuserna's topic in General Reefkeeping_
If at all possible, I will not recommend the use of carbon dosing unless you are very sure what you are doing , plus you have a good and effective skimmer. Otherwise Cyano and Dinos will be the next concern. The use of ATS or refugium to reduce Nitrate is a more natural way to tackle the problem. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk -
Persistently High Nitrate levels

The large WC is not going to help, and may destabilise the tank. Your WC regime should be weekly 20% instead. Sent from my SM-G950F using Tapatalk -
Persistently High Nitrate levels
Mike Stone replied to blahblahuserna's topic in General Reefkeeping_
Water change will never bring your nitrate level low, you may get it low right after WC, but it will go back up the next day very quickly. You need to know why your nitrate is high at the first place, what kind of filtration system you have, what system you are running, how much rock you use in your tank, how many fishes you have as in bio load.... The fundamental is to know what is your source of nitrate and how to tackle that source. To reduce nitrate, you need to export it out faster than the tank bio loads producing it. Adding Resun 300 skimmer to My Nano Tank
Mike Stone replied to Oceanmini's topic in New to the Marine Aquaria Hobby
If one day you find your skimmer is not effective, this could be a nice nano skimmer available in Singapore now. Sent from my SM-G950F using Tapatalk -
How did you get your KH to 10 without dosing ? AF salt at the very most will give you KH 8 without dosing and provided you are performing WC weekly. Did you dose AF ABVE? You did not add any chemical at all ? Not even Kalk ? Sent from my SM-G950F using Tapatalk

You should have a back up float switch for Tunze ATO, that doesn't activate too ?? Sent from my SM-G950F using Tapatalk

Invert that eat cyano bacteria? Aka red slime algae
Mike Stone replied to NubReefer's topic in General Reefkeeping_
All the above suggestion won't solve your Cyano problem. Nothing will eat the Cyano till the point it eradicate it. Sent from my SM-G950F using Tapatalk -
For Chaeto, just get the all red and one blue LED flood light from Qoo10. It's less than $40 and is effective. Sent from my SM-G950F using Tapatalk

Chaeto dying ?!?! seeking advise
Mike Stone replied to kakak99's topic in New to the Marine Aquaria Hobby
Vibrant is design with bacteria to kill algae, Chaeto is algae.... The bacteria will stay in your system for while before it can be purge off... stop dosing doesn't means algae will grow again immediately. Do know that algae in your tank system also help to absorb the nutrients, and the idea is not to kill all those algae but rather manipulate the location where you want the algae to grow, that form the basic theory of ATS. Never overdose Vibrant (in fact I don't recommend using it) as it is really effective to kill algae, once all your algae gone too fast, suddenly your tank system don't have that buffer (algae) to help absorb nutrients and you will see a sudden NO3 and PO4 spike, than something nasty may happen, if you are lucky will be Cyano, bad luck will be Dinos which will take months even year to combat. Why don't you try CF? They always have maroon clown. Sent from my SM-G950F using Tapatalk

Very nice set up, pleasant to see the yellow tang and purple tang don't fight. Can you share who made the tank for you ? Sent from my SM-G950F using Tapatalk

You need some form of nutrient export, putting an effective ATS is probably enough without skimmer, for GSP or mushroom. Sent from my SM-G950F using Tapatalk

It is very difficult to kill GSP actually. Bring it to a lower flow location, place at sandbed is also okay. Use a blower to blow off any debris or sand on the GSP. There is no need to dose any thing for GSP, just water change. Check your parameters, is anything severely out of range ? Sent from my SM-G950F using Tapatalk
