What will you place after the skimmer compartment ? The compartment where the skimmer is will have bio media, basically whatever i have accumulated from my current tank will be moved over. (marinepure block, marinepure block, siporax, bacteria king) The 3rd compartment will be a refugium. The underflow area is covered with a netting to prevent fishes from getting into the return pump section. As the name implies, it'll be a refuge area for injured fishes (if any) My suggestion instead of using net, some fish can be trapped by net, you might want to consider sandwiching the underflow glass with 2 pieces of egg crate and glue it secure. Will block fishes passing through the underflow portion and yet do not trap fish and block water flow. Just a thought. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Actually if I were you, I will use the 1st chamber for skimmer, it can fit a Nyos 120 easily. Next to the skimmer I will get the 4" filter sock with holder (can get from LFS) just below the down pipe. The water level on the 1st chamber will be consistent because of the baffle design passing to the 2nd chamber. This will trap the bubble and also maintain consistent water level. 2nd to 3rd chamber should have another glass to avoid underflow. You can put Reactor or Chaeto on it or even ATS. Check the height of the glass that you place skimmer, Nyos skimmer works best with 8.5". Some other skimmers maybe same or slightly higher at 9-10". Sent from Singapore Reef Club mobile app
