  2. This LFS reputation had already been discussed many times before but seems lke nothing had changed since then.
  3. The pH of our tapwater is about 7.0. Yup, about neutral.
  4. is my eyes playing trick on me? is the water going to overflow?
  5. Lousy excuse Obviously kee is not the only person encountering problems with you If really thats the case, maybe you can return the LRs to him? Send it to his place since he sent it to you. Its only fair
  6. Its the LIGHTS! Temperature is still tolerable... your lights too weak! Nobody supposed to keep LPS with FL unless the depth is 6inch
  7. Thanks! Learnt something new again.... too bad can't find much info about rowalith on the net.
  8. I don't find it pointless about the patrols around orchard road. I personally don't find any tension with these police walking around (unless u r doing something wrong ), in fact you should feed more secure. These patrols not only serve as a deterence but also in case of emergenciesor crimes, they will be at the scene at the shortest time. 1-2 years ago in either Malaysia or Thailand(can't really remember the exact location), they had armed patrols(with semi-automatic guns) in the city due to an increased in armed robberies. One day, some armed robbers were robbing a jewellery shop and these armed patrols were just 1 street away. These armed patrols went to the scene and the armed robbers were all shot dead in the end. This may happen to us one day... who knows?
  9. Hi weileong, what do u mean by there's no need to pour out the rowalith? Do you mean that the rowalith will slowly dissolve? Hence, no need to change media. We only need to top-up?
  10. Did u guys read the newpaper? It explained why certain areas could feel the tremors while others felt nothing at all. It all lies on the ground we stand on. Those in the central/north-east/east are built on soft ground(marine clay/old aluvium), hence they could feel the tremors. Those in the west are normally hard rock(granite and sandstorm). That explains why I had never felt any tremors before
  11. shouldnt feel anything.... Jurong east cant feel anything at all
  12. Seems like my area (Jurong East) never experienced tremors before.. I was awake at that time and my friends were all telling me that they feel the earth shaking. Maybe its a good thing
  13. Give a small piece of market prawn to your shrimps and they will not disturb your corals while feeding.
  14. I understand what u mean Thanks for the advice. I shifted the 6000 to the front and no more sandstorm. The drawback is that it doesn't look as nice... very exposed at the front
  15. But you didn't really use your LRs to deflect the flow. Your 3 Tunzes and 1 output converge at the centre! Attached below is how I placed my 6000 just now. Caused a huge sandstorm at the centre/front panel I circled. Where do u think its better to place the 6000?
  16. Weileong, thanks for the prompt reply. Yours is more than double my flow yet still no sandstorm. Trying to look for more ideas on how to place my 6100.
  17. Hi, need some advice from you guys. Previously, I was using a 6060 and a Seio M820 and still find a lot of dead spots. Got myself a 6000 and put it in just now. Caused a huge sandstorm. Can you guys who are having a few Tunzes in their tanks show me photos of your tank on how you place your Tunzes to prevent sandstorm? I'm using #1 sand. Thanks in advance
  18. Sometimes a wonder if we should openly declare the nick of these people. At least we can avoid these people. However, they can easily apply for another account All kinds of ppl around..
  19. Looking at your livestocks and size of your tank. Aquac is the minimum. Best would be beckett or if u r concern abt power consumption, can go for H&S or Deltec needlewheel
  20. Brains and hammers are LPS. They need good lightings and also what's your calcium and kH?
  21. yup.. i'm interested to know more too. Never read about this before.
  22. I think its possible... but depends on how large your tank is. IMO, at least a 4 footer.
  23. Would like to see how long can a cleaner wrasse do well in captivity. It is well known that cleaner wrasse do badly in our tanks. But would like to see how badly. Maybe it can help to prevent people from buying more cleaner wrasses and seeing more of them die in our tanks
