  5. Yes.. to breakdown nitrate is what of us trying to do.. i would love to have denitrifying bacteria.. but it would take atlesst 6 mth i heard to cultivate them.. i stacked some marine pure block hoping they would help to lower nitrate..the fastest way is Wc.. or carbon dosing.. took me another 1mths for my nitrate to reach almost
  6. Bro.. relax.. this hobby is all about patience.. there is no instant result.. typically cycle stage will take about more than a month to complete and stabilize.. do not rush.. things might crash.. Throw small chunk of prawn.. nature will take its place to spike ur ammonia>nitrite> nitrate..
  7. Just wait for another 2 days and test again.. nitrate should be detactable..

  11. Hi, I would like to know which is recommended, My current tank is cycled with tap water coming to a mth.. so now is do i need to do major WC? Like 50% or i need more to bring my nitrate down as there is no LS currently. Or its useless, just wc at 10% will do with NSW/saltmix to rapidly remove the nitrate/phos
  12. Ok thanks for pointing 80% water change.. i tot its normal for huge wc to remove nitrate.. Wanted to use tap water+ conditioner for salt mix.. any bros here have any objection?
  13. Definitely it help. Im still on planning stage to minimize water disturbancy and save some money. May i know what kind of reactor did you add? Didnot know reactor is needed that fast..
  14. Ok noted. You are right. Which farm sells nsw around north side? Too bad madpetz dont bring nsw anymore
  15. Hmm.. ok thank you. So i can assume its just each own preference.. [emoji1]
  16. Hi, Should I start my tank with NSW or Saltmix for now? My plan was to use salt mix to kick start the nitrogen cycle. Once everything complete, i will do major wc like 80% to be replace with NSW. I felt that buying nsw will be a waste because i know i will be changing that water anyway. Any advice?
