I think it will be fine if you just use for return pump. Imo,try not to have any dead spot and it also depends if you want to have sps ,it definately need more flows

I find that it can cause alot flow for my tank,but i didnt tune to max . furthermore im only keeping lps and softies ,with the help from my wm ,is more than enough ,but i do have a little dead spot in the centre back of the tank.
