Battling deadly Bryopsis algae
Harlequinmania replied to Harlequinmania's topic in New to the Marine Aquaria Hobby
Frankly speaking reason is unknown, but I suspect is due to heavy metal in the water or due to some rusty part which I found in my water before.. Sent from Singapore Reef Club mobile app -

Best size of a tank
Harlequinmania replied to nubbiereefer's topic in New to the Marine Aquaria Hobby
I would go for a wider tank than a longer tank for ease of scaping and tank maintenance. Sent from Singapore Reef Club mobile app -

Need answers to many questions
Harlequinmania replied to yunitor1's topic in New to the Marine Aquaria Hobby
There are different school of thought of running skimmer and chiller during tank cycling.. I feel there is no right or wrong ,as last as the ammonia level start going up and then start dropping to zero it show that the cycling is happening Personal I would no run skimmer and chiller during cycling as the bacteria might be skim off .water change after cycling is ideal as most likely the nitrate level will be high after the tank cycling is completed, and the water change will help bring it down. Hope it helps Sent from Singapore Reef Club mobile app
