  1. Return pump is one of the most important equipment of your tank system. Depending on what you keep you need to have 8 to 10 times of the water volume turn over . Every T off elbow or blend of the piping will affect the overall discharge flow rate, so I would recommend you not to share with some many pcs of equipment or else if you need , use a stronger pump. 2. Compressor chiller is definitely cheaper to run over the long term due to its efficiency, it can chill the water faster . Most of the compressor unit we use for our tank are modified to use for 3 pin plug. Sent from my SM-N920I using Tapatalk

  13. You just have to mix your salt mix with freshwater ( preferably overnight) and check the salinity to make sure it match the level in your tank. Just be patient and stock as slow as possible for your new tank and find more time reading and researching in our forum. A good way to improve your water quality is to add bacteria products . For the test kit, you can start with getting ammonia which is critical to know if your cycling is completed and the other test kit later on . For the reactor, it depend what you want to keep . If you are looking at corals, you can consider getting a fr to use with phosphate removal media and biopallet reactor to reduce n03. Hope the above helps, and feel free to check out with the bros here. Sent from my SM-N920I using Tapatalk
  14. 15. I agreed as well that too low the nutrient level is not good for the coral as well esp if you keep lps. I also encounter my purple valida which used to be deep purple Turing pale now when my nitrate drop to almost zero level. However some of the other oz sps is doing very well. Guess it is about finding the balance and correct nutrient level to suit our tank. Sent from my SM-N920I using Tapatalk

  17. Finally decided to invest an additional apex ph module since my tank encountered twice a serious kh swung, once due to c02 running out of gas and second time due to water line blockage. Some sps started to stn and rtn before I knew it. With the additional apex ph monitor, the system would be able to prompt me via email or warning when the ph inside the cr chamber went to unusually high or low level that would trigger me to check, which hopefully to avoid same issue again. .
