  4. There isn't a AI lighting setting for all tank since all tank are different in term of tank size, coral placement, lighting placement and so on.. Start with a setup which you think your coral is doing well with and slowly adjust upward over time. However, take note of the White, red, and UV which initially high value will bleach the corals. i would start with a 30 - 40 % of these color and slowly adjust upward. However, over time once your old corals is acclimatize to the strong LED lighting, you can slowly adjust these up to " burn " the sps coral to improve the coral coloration. Must be very exciting now during the setup right ?

  9. Those copper coil that we use here is usually coated with a rubber insulator. Yes titanium coil is more expensive , and wouldn't rust but the coil that is available here is usually a single coil whereas the copper insulated one is usually double or triple coil which mean it will chill the water faster as compare to the single coil titanium . Both have its pro and cons. Sent from Singapore Reef Club mobile app
  10. More importantly is the power supply in the tank is not disrupted while you are away. Consider getting a sms power failure notification or Web camera to enable to monitor it . Else ask a reef buddy here or a trusted lfs for help to come by visit your house every few day Sent from Singapore Reef Club mobile app
  11. Curious to see how the invert and fish only tank look like. Please share with us here Sent from Singapore Reef Club mobile app
  12. Once the copper coil has been bend before, high chance it may have a hole and either water can slip in or gas might have leak out. This could cause serious problem causing the compressor to trip the whole house or damage the whole unit. Like whiskie said, better to ask a aircon guy to do for you for the whole reconnection unless it is just a transfer without any modification of the unit. Sent from Singapore Reef Club mobile app

  19. You do not need to remove the prawn meat from your tank. It will be decompose by the bacteria in the water which helps build the foundation of the tank cycling. Meanwhile, you need to get some test kit to test the water to ensure that the cycling cycle is complete before adding new fish. Normally, after the tank cycling is completed. i will go a major water change ( 50 % ) to bring down the N03 value before adding new any new live stocks. Yes it is possible to keep the corals without chiller i,f you can maintain it below 30 degree but do watch out for excessive water evaporation from the tank and remember to top up with freshwater regularly to help keep the salinity stable.
