you can also try looking into using fan to bring down the temp of your water.. This is of course a more economical way comparing to getting a chiller. However, you have to be prepare to top up at least 1 L of water a day if your fan run on 24hrs.. Another alternative, is like what some reefer had said is to use a external Pump instead of a internal Pump to prevent heat trasmitted into your tank.

How many fish should be kept in a tank?
Harlequinmania replied to nicholasloh's topic in New to the Marine Aquaria Hobby
More importantly is the ability for one to resist the templation of keeping more fish if your filter cannot handle such a increase in bio-load. -

You should put in both to speed up the tank cycling..

This is normal, since the sale maybe not 100% dislove yet.. Just run the pump and filter and leave for a few hour and it should be clear..

since it is only a 1.5ft height tank, you migh want to consider rising up the height of the cabinet as well, if not the viewing height maybe very short also.

There is alot of information found under the seahorse section about seahorse feeding , which maybe you can read up !

The use of a phosphate reactor help to reduce or remove the level of P04 built up which is a major cause of algae bloom for fish tank, however other causes of algae bloom include High Nitrate N03 , improper spectrum of lighting and overfeeding as well will also cause algae bloom .. So you will still notice some / little algae growth although your P04 level maybe Zero..

Maybe you can show us some photos here for your current setup? You can also consider getting a Good hang-on skimmer which is a good way to solve your current space limitation problem, after which you may also transfer it to your sump tank in future setup.. REDSEA hang-in skimmer is a good start , and if you have budget you may consider Deltec skimmer as well..

Is it a brand new set or used ? Better Check the aquabee pump and shaft..
