But do take note that there must be a opening below large enough for the falling water to rush through... We use a blue foam block to hold the compartment in place before the selicon dry up.

if you have decided to start up with a small tank, do take extra care of your bio load and it is good also to consider investing in a good skimmer.. -

The Cleaner Shrimp is the most popular shrimp kept in the hobby. This is often due to it's interest in the younger shrimps setting up cleaning stations and cleaning any ectoparasites or dead tissue/scale matter on it's host. Will even climb into the ###### cavaties and gills of larger fish to perform this function. These shrimp, if kept in pairs or more, will spawn in the tank. Eggs will appear in the finlets under the carapace as a light green. Fry are difficult to raise but will feed the corals and fish in your aquarium. As the shrimp age they will tend to clean less and will wait for hand-outs. Can be trained to eat meaty offerings right from your fingers and will even offer a free manicure.. Some fish may harass or eat Cleaner Shrimps. These fish include Hawkfish, Groupers, Triggers, Squirrels, Lionfish and others. Diet: Omnivore. Behavior: The Lysmata amboinensis is generally peaceful toward other tankmates. Water parameters: Keep water quality high (SG 1.023 - 1.025, pH 8.1 - 8.4, Temp. 22 - 25 F). Care: Many consider the Lysmata amboinensis a low-maintenance specimen. Not venomous. Size: The Cleaner Shrimp may grow to 2 inches. Origin: The Cleaner Shrimp is commonly collected from Indo-Pacific. Color: The Cleaner Shrimp has a red, white and gold color. Feeding: It likes to eat eats meaty bits of seafood, and detritus.
