Prehapes you can give us more information on your skimmer in order for us to help ? What skimmer model / brand are you using ?? Do you have a feed pump runing to it ? How big is your tank ect ?

The ocean is filled with a soup of bacteria and viruses. Animals living in these environments are constantly under assault by pathogens and need to be able to mount an immune response to protect themselves from infection, especially if they have an injury or wound that is openly exposed to the water. In trying to predict how species will respond to climate change caused by global warming, researchers and scientists are turning to comparative physiology, a sub-discipline of physiology that studies how different organisms function and adapt to diverse and changing environments. Depending on your budget and what you like to keep ? Simple T5 light would be enough or if you a budget , do consider LED lighting like Maxspec or Lumenaqua since it wil save you on the runing cost in the long run. There is also many brands of skimmer in the market , good brands ranging from prices like ; Deltec, HNS, Skimz, Redsea, and bubble magus ect... The skimmer is one of the most important and basic equipment you will need for a marine tank setup, and the prices can range from $100 ~ $1000 .. It alll depends on the brand/ model ect, which you might want to do some research on.. If you have a budget constrain, prehapes you can also check out Bubble magus which our sponsor is offering .
