  5. nice! Gd to know a fellow 10g nano reefer using it too Why will the lens get dirty though? Detritus or algae buildup? Any impact on function with dirty lens?
  6. Hi guys, found this on my sandbed, about 1cm long. Nice red on the body & legs. This is a bristleworm correct? Are they known to eat coral polyps? Also, how big do they grow to?
  7. Alright, thanks, will definitely check it out! Need to find a solution, otherwise don't need to to go holiday liao(no one around to top up water haha)

  9. Nice scaping with the cave on the right!
  10. No sump man, I have a 10g. Small set up only, worse still in the sense that water levels always drop super fast due to the fan...
  11. I'm using fan to keep GSP & Yuma too, temp is about 27. But evaporation is an issue for me.. Any recommendation on auto top up units?
  12. Thanks man, will consider.. it's damn far for me haha
  13. IMO bottom is fine cos the glass is supported underneath by the cabinet or whatever surface your tank is sitting squarely on... to clarify my statement on resting on the sides, if it's just one rock it may not be a big deal versus the case where the btm rock of your scape is resting on the sides & you have everything else stacked on top of it.. That one the glass will probably feel it
  14. Ok thanks. I was half hoping it might be some kind of gorgonian... But no polyps leh.. Haha
  15. What are your nutrient levels? Apparently they prefer higher levels. I have some serrulata which were like dormant for a wk after I introduced them. Ever since they have been sprouting new growth
  16. Hi bro, thanks! yup the translucent orange blob most prob is a mangrove tunicate.. still no idea on what the orange branchy thing is though
  17. As above, looking for small frag. Pls PM me for deal!
  18. yup NTUC sell LIFE distilled water at $1.05 for two 1.5L bottles. SS sell ALPHEUS distilled water at $1.10 for two 1.5L bottles this Jubilee wkend
  19. All tanks, regardless of material, would be sized up to handle the pressure & weight of the water, having sufficient thickness, seam design, etc. I would say one good practice would be to avoid resting rocks on the glass which introduces point loads on the glass/acrylic.
  20. Hi all, it's me again Spotted some orange things on my LR, keep seeing things 1) The one on top, it's like a translucent blob(reminds me of a half-eaten Ricola candy.. haha). Upon zooming in, I see two tubes. Is this a tunicate or seq squirt? 2) As for the bottom one, it's like a orange branch which has black knobs. Irregular rough surface, feels like a root. Some kind of sponge? Experts, please help ID! Thanks in advance!
  21. Thanks guys, will check out these places..
  22. Hi, got me some live rock. Noticed this red lump with blunt points on the top. Any idea what it is? Btw, the LR also has a white encrusted layer which really looks & feels like cement. That's dead corraline algae eh?
  23. Hi all, does anyone know which LFS sells such feather dusters? The edge abit fluorescent blue Pls share if you see them! Thanks!
