Hi bro, any chance you fragging your nice gorg soon?
-
Hi guys, update: the lobo has re-inflated itself still alot of tissue recession though, but it looks better than sat
-
wow the pink & yellow already damn vibrant! Didn't know can get even better... Power sia must camp here for update

I have never tried glue before but I've heard that it's difficult cos they slime a lot. What I have had success with is to tie the frag down using cotton thread, not too tight until the flesh is pinched but tight enough to stop it from coming loose due to the current. It will attach itself on the surface after awhile. Mine took 1-2 wks to affix before I cut off the thread. some pple also use rubber band, netting, stocking, etc & let the frag attach itself.

hahah I think it stressed lah, kenna knocked over.. Hopefully it starts pulsing again!

Let me know if you want some goniopower, can pass you some in small ziplock

Cool! The allure of live rock.. My thoughts are as long as still glowing or with coloration, the coral is still alive.... I'm trying to revive a lobo too, also found inside live rock give your gonio low light first then see if its extends out gradually? Then slowly start feeding once stable pls keep us updated!

That's great to know... Mine have stopped pulsing since I started running skimmer looks absolutely terrible now as its pulsing tentacles are thin & the feather-like structure on each tentacle have collapsed have moved it up to higher light, down to lower light, high & low flow, but no improvement.. When researching some talk about iodine, but I'm so not keen to play around with that. Maybe it's really trace elements deficiency, but the irony is how can a species so hardy be so dependent on trace elements to thrive? Ironic eh? Oh well.. Xenia stumps me

The white bag with blue mouth - any tentacles? If no it might be some kind of tunicate. If so, that's ok. Tunicates are filter feeders. the white thing sticking out of your LR - can't tell what it is too haha, my hyperactive imagination suggests it's a barnacle the brown polyp - should be some sort of paly. That's ok the green anemone that likes light - that should be a majano. They are a rather interesting addition as long as you monitor their population

I think your tank looks really unique & interesting with the deep red background! Lots of red macros very nice, the pink cotton candy algae on your bamboo looks gd! Nice zoas & mushrooms.. Btw what's your PH levels at night when lights are off? Does it go down with a macro tank?

Nice gesture! Are those green palys?

I still think it's some kind of sponge. It doesn't smell bad or anything correct? Does it come apart on touch?

Very nice photos! Welcome to SRC too!

Huh? You mean start a new thread? When you are at the sub-forum, scroll all the way down, you will see a green box 'start new topic'. From there just create. But I'm not using tapatalk, so I don't know if your user interface looks different from mine...

Guccivera Mini Nano Dymax IQ5 Reefing journal. (3.5Gallon)
JMW replied to a topic in Members Tank & Specs
exactly! That explains the flurry of questions haha -
Hi bro, thanks for your advice.. I noticed growth on the SPS as I stare at them everyday but ok on a more serious note, I do compare the SPS skeleton shape as the days pass by & notice that there's elongation & also start of branching, that's why I thought there is growth which consumes Ca & KH... my nitrates are steady at 5, phosphates are ard 0.1, I know not ideal so I'm trying to bring it down with GBPO4.

Congrats on the successful egg laying! Eagerly anticipating the newborn haha

Hi guys, any recommendations for places or LFS I can go to buy or make a tank stand/cabinet? At good price. I have a 10g nano tank but I'm not comfortable with it currently sitting on my wooden cabinet.. Hope to get some info here! Thanks in advance guys..

Yeah their reefs are quite good, but that region has some struggles with illegal fishing where they use cyanide or dynamite fishing methods..

ok so guys, I have about some SPS frags(BN & digi, etc) in my 10G nano. I have been monitoring my Ca(Salifert) & KH(Nyos) over the last week to understand the utilization rate: 21st Oct - 370 Ca - 6 KH 22nd Oct - 390 Ca - 6 KH 23rd Oct - 395 Ca - 7 KH 24th Oct - 390 Ca - 7 KH Have two questions: 1) Any idea why My Ca & KH didn't drop as the week went past? Expected them to drop cos of the hard corals... 2) What would be a good choice for balanced additive to bump up both my Ca & KH? Am targetting for 420 Ca & 10 KH.. Would Salifert all-in-one work? Don't have reactor or dosing pump so planning to add via ATO or direct pour into tank. For that reason, am not so keen on kalk, afraid of the possible PH swing if OD. Please share your opinions & experience! Thanks in advance

alright man, will take note of it, yes realized they don't like to be moved around too much..
