  1. Sorry to hijack thread, but anyone knows where acropower is being sold in the west?
  2. Nice rock formation on the right! Did you epoxy rocks together to form it?
  3. You are still cycling right? Suppose lights are off & no direct sunlight into your tank?
  4. Darren, looks like slight detritus starting to accumulate on the sand, I'm not too sure if any organism can eliminate all traces of detritus though.. Might have to try a siphon Also see abit of what seems to be diatom buildup, sand-sifting organisms should help(gobies, nassarius, etc)
  5. water from the fish shop, comes in the plastic bag that your livestock is placed in
  6. If you really want to remove the huge ones, can try soaking the rock in freshwater for a few min, they may come out & you can then pick them off as you wish..
  7. wow, 4inch? Sounds like big worms! Are they bristleworms? Do you have any pics of them?
  8. My tank is running wild with amphipods, they run around the rock, frags all day Nitrates at 10ppm, daily blasting of rocks to get detritus off. That usually get them actively running ard I'm actually trying to catch some of them to feed my mantis..
  9. Not sure if the filter resins they use are the same as the ones in our RO/DI units? That may introduce stuff into the water.(some commercial units use copper piping) Then again, it's all speculative until we get some objective evidence... Can your manufacturer send you a spec sheet of the water coming from the unit?
  10. Is there water flow in the tank? With flow it shouldn't stink, at least this is what my LFS told me
  11. You would want to check your PO4 level if you are getting algae outbreaks
  12. Oh ok so it's an alternative to SPS food such as oyster feast or reef roids?
  13. Hi welcome to SRC why do you want to remove the worms from the LR first before putting them in the sun when the sun would remove them & convert your rock into dead rock?
  14. Willy, any update of your corals after using both the Revoreef INTENSE & NUTRICORE?
  15. Bro, do you use the INTENSE with the NUTRICORE?
  16. oh! yeah you are right, it does look like it! Thanks! How do you tell a tort apart from a valida though? They look quite similar?
  17. Those stags are really growing like there's no tomorrow!
  18. Why "coward" leh? Drip acclimation works for them as they are sensitive to sudden changes in temp, salinity, etc especially the snails I think
  19. no prob, btw how do you plan to reduce your phosphates?
  20. Nice tank man, like your rockscape! Gives the tank depth btw if I may suggest, go slow on the increase in bioload & allow your system to catch up with increase...
  21. Hi guys, picked up this SPS frag, but not too sure what it is... Can help ID? Is it a tort? I don't think it's an echinata.. pls correct me if I am wrong
